Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

the dead within
This was a very interesting experience Where this game shines is the horror aspect of it. It isn't jumpscare intensive, it definitely focuses alot more on environment. They combine the environment with this sort of "boss encounters" and create a product that does its job. However, the boss fights are not good, like at all really. With a game like this there's limitations on how boss fights can be designed and unfortunately this game is not the strongest in that department. Most of the main story you'll probably be confused on what's happening and that's okay most people were. OST isn't anything special and don't play this game if you cannot handle getting 1 shot. If you are fine with everything above then its a good choice for you. It is for me that's why I recommend it.
**The Evil Within somehow manages to be both a masterpiece and a terrible game at the same time!** First of all, the prologue of the game is beyond amazing. It throws you straight into the action and creates so much curiosity that you just don't want to stop playing for hours. Secondly, I have to mention the atmosphere. The atmosphere in this game is easily in my top 5 not only among horror games, but among games in general. I have never seen another atmosphere this dark, suffocating, and genuinely frightening. The constant lack of ammunition makes the game even more tense and stressful. On top of that, the creature designs are amazing, and the boss designs are nothing short of masterpieces. The graphics are decent, but honestly, you never really notice or care about the graphics because the game does such a good job immersing you in its world. The horror and tension are also extremely well done. However, the biggest problem with the game is the movement mechanics. The protagonist feels extremely slow, weak, and sometimes even deliberately handicapped just to make the game harder. Like, how can a detective run for only 3 seconds and then need another 3 seconds to fully recover before he can move properly again? The weapon switching, reloading, and other mechanics are also painfully slow, which can make the game incredibly frustrating. Some of the traps are absolutely ridiculous and feel like they were designed purely to piss you off rather than scare you. There are also certain sections that feel almost impossible to get through on your own. In short, the detective's sluggish movement feels like an artificial way of making the game scarier. In addition, the optimization is terrible, FPS drops, and it's even trouble to start the game And finally, the story: **MASTERPIECE.** Nothing else needs to be said.
