classic rug pull poorly optimized bethesda pc port
Overall the game is pretty solid. There are some complaints I have such as crashes that happen randomly when loading into certain cells. But other than that I didn't have any major issues. In my personal experience it was a solid remaster.
big elder scrolls glazer but can't even play this game bc it's so poorly optimized. they also introduced an update that hardcoded keys preventing me from using my lefty keybinds. dont buy this slop just wait for skyblivion
The remaster looks great. Unfortunately, that's where most of the praise ends. As much as I love Oblivion, I can't recommend this remaster. OG Oblivion was one of the first games I ever played, not long after its release in 2006, so it holds a special place in my heart. Nostalgia definitely did its job here. It's the reason I bought this remaster in the first place and kept trying to make it work despite all the ♥♥♥♥ it puts you through. Bethesda barely fixed any of the original bugs and somehow released a game with even worse technical issues. The optimization is awful. The recommended system requirements are a joke (who wrote that ♥♥♥♥?). I tested the game on two different PCs, one of which was comparable to the recommended specs and the other was way more powerful. Both still struggled with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimization without a few community tweaks here and there. AMD FSR 4 helps, but even that requires manually updating the game with AMD's 3.1.4 DLL files because Bethesda hasn't updated the game in over a year to support newer software. Long story short, it feels like Bethesda simply cashed in on long-time fans who were hoping for the definitive version of a beloved classic, only to abandon the game shortly after launch. Sad. Finally, props to the community and the modders. Without them, I probably would've ditched this ♥♥♥♥ after the first few hours. Or maybe we are all wrong and Bethesda did all they could to authentically recreate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hardware-crushing launch of the OG 2006 version.
This is a HD remaster of **Oblivion** using the original source code. Of course it would be a buggy, laggy mess. You all should of expected this.
Terrible performance. Bugs from 2006. No updates. No mod support. Abandonware.
hell yes
An unplayable piece of ♥♥♥♥. The last patch was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ages ago, and the only thing that made me play this disaster in the first place was nostalgia.
boring game, half assed remastered.
I love this game, I love oblivion, but I can not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stand this optimization, I can run, if I remember, cyberpunk on high, but this game runs at 10fps on low settings, bethesda optimize this game so it can actually be great
