Basically this is a very good game and I would highly recommend it but I cannot due to some rally annoying traits the game forces upon you in unintelligent ways.. What is Great The game presents well crafted maps and graphics, mechanics are mostly good though some were degraded compared to SNE4 and I ask myself who took such nonsensical decisions. The models are fairly detailed and a lot of care has been put into making the scenery lively. Inventories are looking good and capture the spirit of the time well. Shoes even have nailed soles ... great attention to detail you do not see often in games. What really drives you off in this game and is not acceptable for a tactics stealth shooter are: 0. Stealth is not consistent nor well implemented and thats a problem for a stealth game ... on the one hand sometimes enemies ignore you even when beside them ... on the other its very often impossible to stealth because enemies do always recognise you when you start moving even if you are in completly dark spaces or covered. If you down a guard with a silenced pistol ... you can most often see that everyone in radius sometimes the entire map is alerted at once even though it would habe been impossible to detect your action because nobody was in line of sight nor should they hear (much) of the shot. How can you stealth anything here ? 1. Maps are sometimes very limited in terms of movement even in open terrain were you run into invisible walls constantly ... AND ... often you are forced to take routes that are the most stupid ones instead of relying on smartness and reconnoitering ... NO ... you cannot even climb a small Jägerzaun because the game wants you to pass the Tiger tank first ... guys this ins very uninteligent game design you know ... 2. Enemies line of sight and weapon range Everyone can hit you across the map even with pistols. Enemies who either would not easily see you or sometimes clearly CANNOT see you detect you with GPS and shoot at you at pixel accuracy level. Enemies spawn wherever necessary to harras you and without logic. How can you stealth this ... ? 3. Medical supplies Why can you only carry 1 MedKit ? This is only to make life miserable and thus inacceptable as a mechanic 4. Tanks are almost invincible and even armoured cars like the sdkfz 222 with its meager protection are imune to point blank Panzerfaust fire even at weakspots like the rear. Fire of a weapon especially designed to penetrate the strongest armor. 5. Scopes It nice to have such a variety but looking through a scope puts your sight ... somewhere ... to force you to sweep the map and loose time ... unrealistic and annoying. Only super light scopes can limit the effect somewhat 6. Helmets are OP they can withstand the first hit of armor piercing shells from pistols and even a sniper rifle like Gewehr 43 ... sorry to say but that is laughable 7. Fireing arc Corners even in bunkers to not provide great cover because Enemies fire in an arc that bends inwards so they can basically hit you around a corner to some extend even where its clearly impossible 8. Snipers are once again Ueber soldiers They are everywhere sometimes making it completely impossible to move anywhere because they can go from turned away to hit you dead in a milisecond if they see onyl a subpixel of you. And they almost always see you even at a distance of some hundred meters. Their hit is certain and even a graze is deadly because of bleed damage. 9. The modifier kit and new weapons The workbench principle is really good and mods are well balanced but instead of making this based on merrits like in SE4 you need to find workbenches in specific missions. Do you miss those you have no chance to get the essential modifications. Idiotic. New weapons come through challenges sometimes but also only in specific missions. Tiis approach is not attractive and its not as if mods or weapons give you an unfair edge. 10. Skills ... mostly utterly useless and nobody would really miss them so why not go with something useful ... 11. Enemie weapons all enemies drop their weapons which is great but you can only use them as long as their ammo lasts. Thats a very artificial limitation and not logical for a game that gives you a lot of options otherwise. Its only designed so that you cannot avoid the weapon or mod challenges ... guys this is not an arcade game so why do we need this annoying "feature" ? 12. Silenced weapons are mostly useless and that plays into what i mentioned at the beginning. This is a stealt game but the mechanics do not really work. Almost always enemies hear you fireing regardless even if quite far away. The damage of silenced pistols is nondescript ... everything beyond a headshot only tickles enemies even at point blank so that most of the time they are not even staggered but start screaming the alarm and fire at you instantly ... I accept that small mistakes can break your mission but why do we need silenced weapons if they are useless ... ? Thanks for your help US ranger luitenant with your masterstaff seargent ranks on your shoulder ...
GOOD GAME PLAY AND GRAPHICHS AND SUCH A GOOD
управление неудобное , локации однообразные , боты скриптовоные до ужаса , после входа в игру не хочется жить
整体还可以,不过个人感觉不如4代,但又说不上来哪里不行就是感觉怪怪的,建议先入手4代

7/10. The campaign in South Africa is better than France's.
I was under the impression Sniper Elite 5 was worse than 4, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Biggest complaint I have are the maps being way too strict on where you can go, sometimes it just isn't obvious until you're too close. Unlike SE4 there's also lots of places that you can climb that you might not expect. Controllable bullet cams are a great addition, the xray itself is more detailed too. Survival maps are far more interesting in SE5, my favorite being the city ruins map since there's so much to explore. Those maps are also a lot less restricted. The music is repetitive, though this is way bigger issue in Campaign, as it will constantly loop the same track (depending on player status) over and over with no breaks of silence in between. I believe it was also like this in SE4 but the music had little to no "key moments" in the tracks that your mind will catch onto so you never notice it looping. DLC's combined with base game is too expensive. Buy it on sale. But I'd say SE5 has so many improvements, depth and is a way smoother feeling game than SE4 that it's worth getting SE5 over it's predecessor.
