WARNING: Game-Breaking Bug at Level 24 & Important Refund Info for EU Players I cannot recommend this game in its current state due to a latent, progression-halting defect. The game requires you to reach Level 24 to access the 'Armory' system, but due to a documented bug, it simply never unlocks. This completely disables core multiplayer progression. As a Battlefield player who is new to the CoD franchise, I had absolutely no idea what the 'Armory' even was during my first few hours of playing, meaning I only discovered this game-breaking defect much later. I contacted Activision Support directly about this. They officially confirmed the bug in writing and stated they have "no confirmed timeline for a fix." They sold a defective core feature and cannot provide a timeline for repairing it. Important Warning: Because it can easily take more than 2 hours of playtime for players to reach Level 24—especially if you are learning the game—Steam’s automated system will instantly reject your refund request based on their standard playtime policy. If you are in the EU, be aware of your consumer rights. Under European Consumer Law (Directive (EU) 2019/770, Article 14), consumers have the right to a full refund for a defective digital product if the manufacturer cannot bring it into conformity in a "reasonable time," regardless of how many hours were played. Because of the strict 2-hour automated window, I had to save all my support tickets and formally escalate my case to the European Consumer Centre (ECC) with Activision's written admission to force the retailer to comply with EU law. At the time of writing this review, my legal claim is currently active and pending a final ruling from the regulators. I am sharing my personal experience here in the hopes that it helps other players who might find themselves stuck with a defective product after the 2-hour mark. UPDATE (May 2026): I received a response from the European Consumer Centre (ECC Bulgaria) regarding my complaint. They explained that, in practice, they could not directly intervene because the contracting seller listed for the transaction is Valve Corporation in the United States, while the European Valve entity appears to mainly handle payment processing and certain EU regulatory obligations. As a result, ECC stated they have limited ability to pursue the case through their normal EU cross-border mediation framework for this type of digital-content dispute. I have therefore also submitted signals/complaints to additional consumer and regulatory bodies, including the Bulgarian Communications Regulation Commission (CRC/KRS) and US consumer authorities, so the matter is still ongoing. I am sharing this update so other players understand that defects which only appear later in progression may become difficult to refund once the standard automated playtime window has passed. This post reflects my personal experience with the refund and support process.

WARNING: DON'T BUY Game is dead. 95% players left for BO7 (which is somehow even more trash than BO6). and the last 5% are no-lifers playing everyday. Finding matches in special modes is impossible - Waited for 10 minutes before giving up.. This will be the same with all of Call of Duty's franchise games. Don't buy them.

COD HQ Launcher! i blame steam... they should start forcing company to stop third party launcher!

I'm already irritated that the game doesn't show up in my steam library as its own entry like the rest of the CoD games... instead, it's locked away inside of the "Call of Duty HQ" thing. It also doesn't have its own discussion board because of it. It's always something. Can't just keep things simple. Gotta use all their stupid 3rd party launchers and ecosystems. Ya know what? You should have just kept your franchise on your own website.

Do yourself a favor and don't play COD ever. Banned on cod:bo6 for being afk, reason is BOOSTING. I play 3 hours a week and got banned permanently without even getting an email. I've never even been shadowbanned before! Following the review conducted by Activision Blizzard, Inc., I have been informed that my account has been permanently banned due to “boosting.” However, I strongly believe that this decision is unjust and in violation of your own stated procedures. Furthermore, upon reviewing Activision’s own penalty policy under the “Boosting” section, the following is stated: First offense: User may be temporarily suspended from playing the game online, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, and have their leaderboard entries deleted. Extreme or repeat offenses: User may be permanently suspended from playing the game online, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, and be blocked permanently from appearing in leaderboards. As is evident from this policy, a first offense should only result in temporary suspension and reset of stats, emblems, and weapon customizations. However, without any prior warning, notification, or application of the “first offense” measures, I was directly classified under “extreme or repeat offenses” and subjected to a permanent ban. This is a clear violation of your own established policy and procedures.

The bigger crime than releasing this game was making the Little Ceasar's in the campaign inaccessible. Inexcusable no doubt

DO NOT BUY. Half of the games content is locked behind the armory which they have locked on purpose, forcing you to play BO7/Warzone to unlock the gun, for you to use in BO6... Yes thats right, you have to earn 250k XP in warzone just to use the guns in BO6, and thats if you're lucky enough that it even unlocks. This company deserves to SINK. Don't buy thier sh*t games.

1月入坑： 新人千万别买！BO6是我历届COD玩的最难受的一作，活全家的T组，BO6纯一坨，想玩多人的、僵尸的新人千万别买BO6，军械库有恶性bug，官方不修了，你目前解锁不了任何军械库和通行证的枪，意味着你只能用本体的垃圾枪坐牢，老玩家玩的强力枪和配件你都不能解锁用，而且枪械等级配件极肝，手感垃圾，除此之外，你氪组合包还会吞你皮肤，官方不修恶意bug还一个劲出组合包，新人千万别买！千万别买！ 5月20日更新，T组终于把军械库修了，25年11月的bug，直到26年5月才修，T组为了把人都赶去bo7，故意在bo7运营期杀死前作bo6，最恶心的制作组，组合包是ai做，恶性bug是故意不修的，挂是不封的，小团体是恶臭的，枪和人物一作比一作肝，氪组合包还会吞你皮肤。现在的COD真的令我非常失望，目前不推荐任何朋友入坑COD当使奴，省钱省时间玩点别的优秀作品吧，孩子们快跑。
