it's a cute little game that might be a little on the short side for some. Skaramzuzu has lovely art work, very interesting content regardint life/death/kindness. give it a try, it's absolutely worth it to support the devs :)
Gameplay video/walkthrough: https://youtu.be/AfUVa1rIn1o This is a cute adventure game with a mix of some riddles(discussion puzzles I call them) and some almost non-linear travel. You are Skaramazuzu, and you're on a quest to figure out exactly what the heck is going on. And it's told pretty well through the discussions you have with others, and once you accomplish some specific actions. It's a game that kept me glued to my seat, yet made me want to get up and walk away in frustration several times. I suck at puzzles, and I suppose I suck at riddles. The riddles are really a mix of figuring out what the NPCs want - and therefore some of the things that make logical sense to you just don't work out. That frustrated me, but I get it from a game design perspective. The graphics are very visually unique, it looks great. Some really cool character design here. Really cool. The music/atmosphere is also great. I think the sounds used for voices though, well those are a bit less awesome. Overall the game will probably take about 1.5-3 hours on average. Probably somewhere around 2 I'd bet. It took me longer because I'm daft. But, I enjoyed it. It's a touching story about kindness.
Received a key on Reddit without knowing anything about the game. Installed and played in one sitting. The game was a little obscure in the beginning, but the story and gameplay grew on me as i progressed through. Overall it was a fun game worth spending an afternoon seeing through, and my wife & son loved the sound effects for the voices, thinking it was all a bit odd but fun looking/sounding.
The part with all the dialogue felt a bit exhausting, but overall, it was a fun puzzle game with a great atmosphere and story.
If you enjoy point and click style puzzle games, this is a little one that is a pleasant time. The amazing artwork helps add to the environment and the story.
Skaramazuzu is a small, slow-paced, arty, and aesthetic little game with a lovely story. It features wonderful art and music, creating a great atmosphere. It's like a walking sim meets visual novel meets simple point-and-click adventure game, with elements of ASMR. It's a lovely game to lay back, do a little reading (yes, there is a bit of reading), and just slowly take your time with.
The game is simple as well as the puzzles, for me don't play it as a game play it as an interactive movie, take the time to see the pictures that's in the game to have the best understanding. The game could be done in one to two evenings 4h-5h. I love the story and i strongly recomend it .
What a hauntingly beautiful hand drawn game that's all about finding your way out of the darkness & into the light with determination & acts of kindness. The controls & navigation are easy for any level of player skills & while dealing with topics of darkness I felt it was handled in such a way as to not trigger anyone. It took me approximately 4 hours to complete the game which is decent for the price point. You may find you can get through it quicker if you're not like me & gets lost in anything I play.
