You control a mercenary “counter-terrorist” team tasked with eliminating opposing forces and their leaders while completing objectives such as gathering intel, planting bombs, etc. Your performance will earn you lots of dollars you can use to upgrade your arsenal. You also win experience, which lets you upgrade your skills in particular fields, increasing your chances to succeed in difficult missions. Up to four friends, including yourself, can join your team or play and control AI teammates.
Gameplay
You start the game first by choosing a mission, setting the level to happen on a day or night cycle, and deciding how difficult the enemies will be. You can choose a character with their own set of skills you can use in the field. Playing alone and with AI teammates allows you to give them commands if you choose. Finally, you can set your gear with any unlocked weapon you bought and even customize it. You can try them in the lobby or just drop into the mission. Any mission usually goes as follows: you are dropped in the far edge, or sometimes in a building with enemies nearby, and you must tackle them down while avoiding getting shot as much as possible. This is achieved with good planning and gear, or just lobbing a grenade towards a room without getting spotted. You won’t be able to see enemies that are not in your field of vision or on the same floor. If you get shot, your armor lowers, followed by your health once you lose it, but both can be replenished with armor crates or first aid kits, although you can carry only one kit. Ammo is limited as well; luckily, you can pick any weapon from a fallen enemy, but your secondary and sidearm cannot be replaced. Objectives are varied, but they are straightforward and lineal. Move to a certain location, then gather intel, plant explosives, rescue hostages, or eliminate VIPs. The map will show you the layout of the level and help you find your next target. Some enemies will drop money you can use later, and you can also pick locks on safes. Locations will include many obstacles, such as automated turrets that will shred your team if you are careless. You can vault through windows or drop to the ground floor inside a building. Once all objectives are done, heading towards the extraction area will finish the mission successfully. Getting the entire team knocked down will end the mission earlier. Based on your performance, you’ll get a boatload of money you can use to upgrade your arsenal. You also get skill points to enhance personal traits such as accuracy and hip fire, damage taken, or the ability to lock picks. Enemies will respond to any noise you make, and if they manage to spot you, they will open fire or run towards cover. Because you may face several foes at once, it is not wise to just run and gun; there are several ways to tackle them. For some reason aiming is not entirely precise within a distance or terrain, and firing upwards is more difficult than firing from above high ground. Depending on the difficulty you choose, you may have to move inside a level with extreme caution, as any misstep can be deadly with no plan of action. Your progress is rewarded as you unlock more weapons and skills, so future missions won't be as difficult as when you started.
Graphics & Audio
The graphics aren’t cutting edge, as the game is old with Unreal Engine 4, so I found no issue with performance. The only problem I had was with the foliage, so I had to turn it off entirely for a boost. I would have found it amusing that my characters would grunt while getting shot or knocked down, but sadly I found none of that. There is no music while playing either (to help with the focus of a tactical shooter, perhaps). Its UI is also very basic and empty, but for a military shooter, it's okay on its own.
Pros & Cons
Pros: + Decent top-down shooter. + Wide arsenal of weapons to play with. Cons: - Missions are all the same and feels repetitive. - AI teammates are somewhat difficult to control manually. Rating: 6/10 “Banana dictators and other scoundrels.” - Game description. This game is a hidden gem. Hidden because I just happened to stumble upon it while I was searching top down shooters. The game is fun if you enjoy top down shooters. I hope this game along with another game I just bought - Operation Thunder - get the attention they deserve.
BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! I love that Game so much!!! Listen... Kill "bad" Guys with a lot of powerful Weapons with intelligent and though A.I. or do it alone with: - Pistols - Shotgungs - Sub Machinge Guns - Heavy Machine Guns - Grenades - Molotov cocktail - Flashbangs - Smoke Grenades - C4 - Laser Mines - Tactical Light - Laserpointer - and much more... The Sense of the Game is to solve some Targets at Day or Night like rescue Hostages, plant Bombs, defuse Bombs, to save secrets Documents, Diamonds, CPU Datas and much more! I'm playing most at "normal" Mode as lone Wolf! You must have to be strategic or you will be killed easily! With current Update is the A.I. is not a stupid armed Enemy. However... thank You fot that great Game, i love it, it is so funny and thx for the Updates and new Stuff!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I'm so exited how the game evolves!!! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !! BUY IT!! BUY IT !!
"Run n' Fun" type of game. The kind you should see more of on consoles, but exist mainly on PC where smaller titles like this have more of a chance of surviving. Twin stick tactical shooter that reminds me of yesteryear titles like the Shock Troopers arcade games (Neo Geo), only less cartoony and more realistic, with dozens of tactical and stealth elements layered in. Features gamepad support and tested with PS5 sense controller.
Feels Like Top-Down Socom 2 . great with a friend, havent tried with more than 2 but this is a great tactical game , priced right
Good base start - multiplayer is present so why not focus on a PVP mode, its something that has not been done and it could be combined with rpg elements already made - just have spies vs spies drop exp and exp converted to abilities both passive and active. Players deck out a team of 4 and must select a player character before the match begins. Characters ranging from hackers, soldiers, medical, scientists that players can choose from to build the ultimate blacklist brigade.... my spy brigade vs your spies brigade Leaderboards a must and will be the primary hook for player retention. Lots of great weapons already in-game, I think hi tech traps would cool that had dramatic damage/death effects. A detailed damage model for human, might be too much at the moment and this might be were I would fiver additional help. If you could mimick war thunders kill shots showing the bullet vector, impact hitting vital and non vital areas. Less intensive labor have limb damage where limps get shot off. 6 boxes per human, head, chest, arms, legs. if possible hands with 8 box would be even better. Very much that open world rpg (kenshi?)that slips my mind, but when a limb takes so much damage it comes off. Or go open world PVE like kenshi copy it just sub your modern gun fight theme. Have fun!
Мне нравятся подобные игры, но имеются минусы: 1) Нет русификатора 2) Почему то не работает кооперативный режим
what a great little game, and we would all love to have such a fantastic and responsive developer on every game!!!!
This game is a lot of fun, especially if you have friends to play co-op with. It's pretty challenging and reminds me of a top-down version of the old school Rainbow Six games. There's a wide variety of weapons to buy, upgrade, as well as skills to unlock as you level up. I hope to see more missions added once it leaves Early Access and hopefully even a level editor with STEAM workshop.
Recently got a SteamOS handheld and chanced upon this gem. I've been looking high and low for a top down shooter that balances realism and arcadey-fun. Something to scratch that itch to relieve the days of Housemarque's Dead Nation. And does game is just that. The NPCs, both Ally and Enemy, are surprisingly smart. I really enjoyed playing the single player. But I'll be roping in my brothers for some fun. I wish this game gets more exposure so we can get more content. Zombie mode would be absolutely stellar.
