The game is so creative and unlike any other puzzle game I've played. Instead of solving normal puzzles, you move and combine the pictures, zoom into different scenes, and connect them in clever ways. The story follows a young boy on a mysterious journey to collect colorful fruit for a strange dragon-like creature. There is almost no dialogue, so the story is told through the artwork and animations. The story is simple, but the ending made me think there might be a deeper meaning behind everything that happened. It feels like a reflection on growing up and looking back at the wonder and imagination we had as children. The boy begins his adventure with simple curiosity, but his journey slowly becomes something much deeper. The changing world around him shows how our understanding of life changes as we gain new experiences and see things from different perspectives. The art is beautiful, and every scene feels like it came straight out of a picture book. The puzzles are challenging but fair. Some solutions are not obvious at first, and I got stuck a few times because I didn't understand how the different scenes connected. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys imaginative puzzle games and experiences that make you think!
I encourage everyone to read up about Jason Roberts' (creator of the game) story, how he came about the idea, how he started developping it because it is suuuuper inspiring for any creative person. The man literally hand drew everything AND learned game development on his own and made this masterpiece. It is so inspiring what one can do and make out of sheer determination and willpower. He didn't even have formal drawing training, just love for the art. His inspirations include: "[For my visual influences, I usually list] David Roberts, Gustave Dore, Christopher Manson and Chris Ware. Not that my style necessarily resembles any of these, but they were inspirations." He was also inspired by Byzantine art after his visit in Istanbul. Needless to say the game is beautiful and so satisfying to piece together. Support indie games and devs! <3
Short, simple yet very charismatic game. Incredibly creative puzzles with surprisingly unique interactions between scenes. The ways to solve the puzzles are somewhat challenging yet totally doable, and once you find the solution you'll be in awe of how clever it is. The (ASTONISHING) art definitely adds to the experience. I'm amused. Highly recommended.
gorgeous! you should probably buy this game on sale though, because it's like an hour and a half long. definitely worth playing though.
Innovative and well-designed puzzle - I'm not sure I could call it challenging, and it wouldn't take anyone very long to complete, but it is somewhat satisfying to play. Would recommend while it's on sale if you like the art style and play mechanics displayed in the trailer.
I would only recommend it if it's heavily reduced
I mean... it's very short... 60 minutes, and I wasn't rushing. The puzzles are genuinely great, but they're all over pretty quickly.
