Simon the Sorcerer: 25th Anniversary Edition

this was such a fun puzzle game go beat it but have fun

Buena aventura gráfica que, aunque en algunos momentos se hace algo lenta, recuerda (salvando las distancias) a los grandes clásicos de LucasArts. Tanto la primera parte como la secuela tienen un bug sin solucionar en el menú de guardado que hace que al intentar acceder a dicho menú, se quede medio congelado. En ambas versiones pude solucionarlo con Ctrl+Alt+Del --> Task manager --> Cerrar el task manager (no el Simon). Es algo incómodo, pero es la única solución que se me ocurrió. A veces falla y no te permite guardar, con lo cual toca reiniciar el juego, así que mi consejo es que guardéis partida frecuentemente (si os lo permite, claro).

Old school perfect!

This was my third or fourth play through but first time playing the 25th anniversary edition. The game has been one of my favourites since I was a kid, it’s very silly and the pixel art animations and backgrounds are really well done and visually I think it’s a great game. The 25th anniversary edition has tried smoothing the game graphically which I think looks awful, but there is a setting to use original graphics which would be my choice every time. I also had quite a few glitches in this version, especially with save files not being read. The subtitles are also a little glitchy, in some places they’re too fast for the audio and in others miss out lines completely.

Bellissimo, un classico intramontabile. Non facile, sono rimasto bloccato anche un paio di giorni. Occorre guardare bene le varie ambientazioni per evitare di perdersi dei dettagli fondamentali.

Je n'ai pas joué au jeu original à l'époque (seulement au 2e opus) et franchement quelle joie de le découvrir en 2026! Heureusement on peut jouer à la version originale avec les graphismes qui n'ont pas le lissage bizarre via les menu du jeu (je suis vraiment pas fan de ce choix esthétique) Le jeu est excellent, j'aime énormément l'humour et les blagues de Simon et graphiquement c'est super beau j'adore l'ambiance Les énigmes sont parfois un peu compliquées et tirées par les cheveux mais c'est vraiment une expérience plaisante du début à la fin Par contre vis à vis du portage j'ai plusieurs reproches à faire : - Déjà on ne peut pas le mettre en fenêtré - J'ai eu un bug à un moment où j'ai dû recommencer le jeu parce que j'étais bloqué à un endroit où le jeu crashait, mais ça ne m'est arrivé qu'une seule fois en environ 8h de jeu Sinon je recommande entièrement le jeu, chouette découverte et ça tient toujours la route même de nos jours

Not quite on par with Monkey Island... but i like the music, graphics, and humor. Some of the puzzles are bit farfetched. And the game crashed after the two guys dance at the end. Overall... it's alright.

The developers have somehow managed to create one of the few games that cannot run properly under any version of Proton on Linux. The game will run, but anything involving the main menu system, including saving and loading, is flakey at best. Most unfortunately, Steam gamepad mouse binding just can't be made to work either. If Valve ever get this one running smoothly, nothing is impossible.

Lustiges Point and Click Game. Erinnert einen an alte gute Zeiten.
