I was following Fabric since early days and thanks to the developers I had the opportunity to play it before it was relased. Fabric is an indie puzzle game that is done with limited resources and it can be noticed throughout playing. This is where the right things starts off. Instead of trying to make a massive game with incredible graphics or some other random bs that they cant achieve they knew their limitations and played around it. They realized their bending mechanics and the awe that comes from it is the true gem which makes this game shine. It is a puzzle/platforming game which actually makes you feel smart about solving stuff. Bending mechanic is trully original and the awe of first time that you bend boxes is actually amazing. Fabric knows it's limitations, what it can do good and what it cant and it helps the game massively. Minimalist look does great, musics are well fitting to the actuall game and sense of space is given nicely throughout cubes. I doubt if this game would be that good if they went for something bigger with their limited crew. My biggest fear was that bending mechanic eventually getting boring after a while but game constantly throws new elements to the player. Game gets harder and harder but more importantly so it feels satisfying and offers something unique every time. Pros: - Puzzles are fun & satisfying. - There are enough elements to keep player occupied. - Developers of the game actually listens to player feedbacks. - Game is relatively cheap. (lasts around 10 hours, 15 if you are bad with puzzle games) Cons: - Story is given through logs. Which could have been implemented in game. - Game's area changes constantly, if you are not good with getting a sense of space within videogames it may disturb you. TLDR: If you are into puzzle games or games that makes you feel good about your smarts make sure you check this out. Fabric is a simple but incredibly smart minimalist game.

Never thought I'd like something glitchy this much. I've first played Fabric at the very early stage of development and instantly fell in love with it. As a Portal fan, and in general, a first-person puzzle games fan, I've been waiting for the release with full enthusiasm. Here it is now, as much fun as I anticipated it to be. Pros: - Awesome bending mechanics - Progressive level of challenge - New mechanics are introduced throughout the game so the gameplay experience grows in variety - Good feedback: Even though it might be hard to understand how the bending works for some, the game encourages players to learn from their mistakes. Instant and meaningful feedback makes the convenient learning curve of the game even easier. - Fun to experiment new things and to look for different solutions - Fun to read the little log entries at the beginning of each level Meh: - The visual style doesn't really appeal to me, but it fits the sci-fi aesthetics of the game. And, honestly, it's the least of my concerns. Cons: - There is no Fabric 2.
PROS: -a unique gameplay with addictive mechanics -beatifully simple but mind challenging puzzle dynamics -stylish graphics and music -really fair price for release CONS: -different modes or themes would be added in the future IF YOU LIKE FPS and PUZZLES, A MUST BUY!
If you like FPS puzzle games like Portal this game will keep you busy. The space bending thing is really cool and sometimes it's really hard to figure out the exit which makes this a good game :) The good: - The idea and the concept and a good execution - Music fits very well and it's good! The bad: I've not played for a long time (15 levels to be exact) but the repetion of the places starts to get boring. I'd recommend this game for those who asks for a challenging puzzle game!
The idea is all right but quite often solution comes from trial and error rather than from figuring out a solution and as such it does not make a great puzzle game
Great first-person puzzle game. Add just a few touches like more polished graphics with more-living background and a narrative voice - and here you go, Portal with Bending Gun. You don't need to portal yourself - you need to bend the environment for it to be more suitable for your needs. Nice gameplay idea and good realization. Nice level design and fine plot. Recommended. 9/10.
-New game mechanics and very cool, mind-boggling puzzles -Reasonable price -Turkish language (I love playing games in my native language) -Very nice soundtrack -Minimal graphics (My 6 years-old laptop wouldn't handle more) What's not to like in this game? If you are a fan of First Person Puzzle Games, you should give this game a try. And, by going through locked achievements, I seem to understand that there can be a refund chance if you beat the game under 2 hours. Should be exciting to see people try that.
This game is pretty awesome. It's introduces a new mechanic of folding time (with cubes) to help complete levels. Once you get past some rage and understand the mechanics, it's very straight forward. Think Qbeh-1, Portal, and Parkour. If you're a first person puzzle maniac like me, get this. Things to know: The green cube in some levels is a save point. Most levels do not have save points. The levels are a mix of easy to hard all the way to the end. Some levels you can become trapped, though this is pretty rare and if you put your brain on overdrive, you can solve most anything. 10/10 Make another game based on these mechanics, it's worth it!!! $10 is a perfect price too.
Follow our curator page "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
I only played a short time, but in that time I got 1/3rd the way through the game (20 levels). Maybe the puzzles get better later on, but so far every single puzzle has played itself - they're all trivially easy because there are very few, if any, choices to be made. That's acceptable for teaching a new mechanic, but after 20(!) levels there should have been at least some interesting puzzles. The bane of every puzzle game is that it's really hard to make good puzzles, and no matter how good the rest of the game is, if the puzzles are bad, the game is bad. And unfortunately it's clear these developers don't know how to make good puzzles.
