Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

When the game came out in 2025 it initially hooked me pretty well for about 50 hours. Some of the CIV core is still there. However now after 1 and a half year later, I can't force myself to play it. In the past whenever a new Civilization was announced I got excited. My mind started to think about the strategies that I could try with that civ. Here? It doesn't matter. The feeling of starting a new game is totally gone. They got so focused on trying to "make people finish their games" that they killed the enjoyment of "starting a new game". UI choice is still so so. I think it's the font and the spacing between elements. 3D Characters are still so so. Graphics (map, etc) it's fantastic, so at least they landed the visuals. Yes. Every new CIV introduced a new change. Hexes, non-stacking armies, etc. But changing civs during the game makes no sense. It's completely disconnecting you from what you are trying to build. It might have worked if this was NOT Civ and it was some kind of "roguelite" game that gives you randomization, unlocks and progression, but not in CIV. SAD

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 6 markets with a position on both sides, 4 climbed and 2 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just doesn't scratch the same itch as previous civs, game play is not as fluid and I often find myself getting annoyed which is exactly the opposite of what I want in this game.
Civilization game only by title
Disappointment compared to the previous Civ VI, i hope Civ VIII will be completely different than Civ VII. I personally regret buying Civ VII.
Worse than the previous versions
It makes me sad that I paid money to play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, even if I was getting paid I wouldn't want to play it again.
I probably would have recommended this game until they asked $30 for DLC while core gameplay mechanics are still being completely overhauled and fixed. This game should have been delayed by at least a year so that basic things could be fixed and devs could have the time they needed to work. This latest cash grab lost the Civ franchise so much good will.
Even the UI is terrible. Could not even stomach it. Dev response: It looks like a mobile UI. On top of everything, the game had obnoxious notifications/help boxes. I couldn't even continue. That is how bad it was. I imagine I would hate the age stuff too, though never got that far. And I suppose its very likely that you have not improved the AI either since forever. And I refunded on a 50% sale. It wasnt even worth that. Not even sure I would bother if the game was free. That is how bad it is.
so i got this more as a gift by a friend that gift me a code and complete 1 match on normal dificulty as Benjamin Franklin from start age to modern age i got some things to say about this. if you think this is CIV 6 but more upgrade and more less cartoonish grapics, you are sadly gona be disapointed. CIV7 is CIV7. what does this mean?, simple its a whole difrent game Builders are gone, you build buildings together in 1 tile to increase production, i actualy dont hate that one, mostly every nation units are special to its colture almost, resourses are not really luxery resourses anymore but something els its diveded by 3 materials that you can switch to your citys for a boon, and Colture is very..... weird in this one... and so is deplomacy it does not feel like deplomacy and Economy well its way difrent. so lets get to the things in CIV 6 you had luxery you expand your empire faster but gold in CIV 6 was very valuable getting luxery items sometimes really can make you sell your goods to your AI people to get a bigger incom to early expand faster upgrade your citys to get them growing faster as you can pump out faster buildiners and other things but, colture did not only give points to colture stuff but you needed Tourism to win and deplomacy was not limited, natural disastesr where more devestating if you did not had a builder and made the world feel more alive and in civ 6 you live in a world. now in CIV 7 though.... its wonkie they added in this new update for me its first time but i read and look videos about it, they added colture in the game and i think a whole new victory system, now you can be 1 nation the whole age witch i like more to be honest. but the good things is in this game compared to 6 is the unist are detail the landscape is detail if you zoom in only sadly, and every colture has its own special unitsn ofcourse with thsi update you can be america that some reason can now recruit spartans?... eh not a big complain it adds flavor i guess, and animations of watching your units fight are amazing. you get more gold then anything els and you can have the biggest army in the world if you like... no joke i had like 30 spartans 25 cavalary and 20 archers on my whole island to protect as i had a NPC on my island that did not like MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GUTS because i was not making inof war with other civs she wanted to me dead. now the biggest things i hate in this game Narator in CIV 6 was more fun to listhen to then the CIV7 one i do not hate the voice actor she is nice but DEVS where the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ poems or poetry if that called in english?. every time i unlock a tech or a wonder in civ 6 i sometimes had a giggle or even love the words the man say for every tech or wonder. in this? unlocks pottery, Civ7 "All are made of clay" in CIV 6 "No man ever wetted clay and then left it, as if there would be bricks by chance and fortune." . . . is CIV7 written in chat GPT ? or was the person writing this just bored out of his ass and say i dont want to write?. what the ♥♥♥♥ happend here? i dont like listhen to this talk about each wonder or tech unlock because they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BORING NOW!. natural disasters in CIV 6 they where a pain but a boon at same time in CIV 7 you dont feel any boon or any pain... oh no volcano destroyed 3 buildings.... use 100 gold to repair it all in 1 turn... Where the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ builders?.. like i understand the new city building system its a welcome thing but i miss the builders dev i miss i can build 2 builders get them out there and get alot of materials farms and other things for my city to grow more while repairing, in civ 6 i used my 2 high productive citys to make builders when i making a settlet just so they can get production up. in this does not feel the same. oh and did i tell you all that citys are now just towns? i will say i do like this mecanic. as 1 thing towns give more benefits to you then a city they give more gold production and materials you need to slot in your citys for massive boons but, you are limited too at start you can i think only make 2 more towns at a tech you unlock more slots to expand but i hate this limit at one point it helps to limit city rushing but same time AI love to build so many citys.... oh and lets not even say how annoying the AI is. people getting angry at me sending settlets to my capital colonize 3 empty tyles next to my city putting 5 to 8 towns right next to me that turn them all in citys just to preduce soldiers and keep attacking me untill i kill there citys... oh and if they even like you they even still do that and then they get angry YOU BORDER TOUCHING ME !!!!!!....... dude you just build a settlement right next to my own borders ♥♥♥♥ YOU!. the ai are just Childish Children TOTLERS that if they dont get what they want they have a FIT with you. oh and the whole civ dislike thing is so stopit, one civ did not like i had a general with higer rank then her... the other guy did not like i had many trades and the other guy hates i have less Vissable tiles ?. what the ♥♥♥♥ is this? i know civs need something to dislike civ 6 had it but atleast it was not as annoying as you can even turn them to like you later in the game. now everyone is against you 24/7 ist just a flat out TOTAL WAR GAME now, and colture well you have no tourism its just colture points the person that gets the most wins same for gold if you have a big economy you win, you kill people you get domination poinst and win but you need to control there citys not raze them witch adds up to your CITY COUNTER and if you are over that number you get a big HIT in happyness negetives for every city. why just why why punish me to capture citys IF YOU PUNISH ME TO HAVE TO MANY CITYS!!!!!! oh and deplomacy is now a resourse fun part too if you raze or capture citys your resourse to use it in deplomacy gets TAKEN AWAY and go down and down until you hit negetive and you cant fix it... as it last for EVERY AGE and if you hit modern age good luck your STUCK with that penalty. and you need that points to do science trade or improve relationships or even try do actions like SPYING or steal tech oh and yeah SPYS are not a unit anymore guys!.... its just a deplomacy thing now that takes 21 turns.......... i feel i play the game LESS about living and building my citys then anything only thing i commanded on my Board.... military units that it 19 hours of military unist and WAR WAR WAR... i dont mind war devs but why take away 80% more of your gameplay like what am i playing here right now?. i dotn command builders i dont command spy's i dont interact with other CIVILIZATIONS.... and i cant even interact with city independed states because of how rare early on those deplomacy resourses are and you gona need them when they declare war at you to have war support on your side. CIV 7 is more made for WAR killing and aggressive resourse hording less about building more about military. while i have seen this update changes as the right path to a good game they have a BIG ROAD to even make this game good as the other CIV games i love the animations but i wish the world was more alive like in CIV 6. oh and did i say that every time you go new age you lose access and allies to your independed city states? they even get RESET growth they go back like they where made like a new TOWN in that age so all your deplomace points you use to help them grow is just USELESS... nice less reasons to even interact with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WORLD!. oh and trading give you gold and resourses and if they have a special item in that city you can send traders there to get those items that way too to boon your city. its ok but i wish we had the older system too. i feel like i writting a book here with my broken english even and i feel sorry ok. but i am annoyed and sometimes having fun with this game. but biggest thing i dont understand is WHY ARE THE DLCS SO EXPENSIVE ?. 30 euro WTF ? TOTAL WAR IS CHEAPER!
I love this game but ultimately it will let you down. I've played this since launch, and at launch it was an unfinished, buggy, and unpolished mess, but everyone says "That's just civ at launch" and it gets better as they update it and fix things. So I went along and some things did get better and fixed. After a hiatus though, I came back to play again after DLCs launched and a long time had past, and its still riddled with bugs and issues, some of which were the same ones at launch. Units still to this day sometimes just stay on the map after being defeated for example. But all of this would not even be an issue for me if they weren't instead more focused on selling over-priced DLC's instead of fixing the game. What's worse is the DLC and update content released is also a buggy mess. At the time of writing this, I've been trying to do all of Edward Teach's quest only to find Leader Quest do not track correctly. Reddit had to explain how every time I complete a quest, I have to reload the save before obtaining it, and trigger it again to force it to recognize it was completed and update. Even then I've been playing and working around that bug to try to enjoy it. Just now I've found a quest that even the work around doesn't work for so extensively, I cannot even complete the challenge to do all Edward Teach quest that I've been spending all my time on. I'm just so tired of having to do so much extra work and defending it to play and enjoy this game. This is all while they've pushed out another DLC with new leaders and things, while the last one (Edward Teach) and the base game is still bugged. These are just examples of the bugs and issues, that bother me the most, but the game is riddled with tons of unpolished to game breaking issues that ruin any fun to be had. If you can get Civ VII on sale for really cheap (Like $20) theres some fun to be had, but ultimately its just not worth it and will let you down.
