EVOLVE WITH EACH AGE OR STAND THE TEST OF TIME
Lead your empire through distinct Ages of human history. Across the Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern Ages, choose whether to lead one Time-Tested civilization from start to finish, have it strategically evolve to flourish with a new identity in the next Age, or split the difference through hybridization. As accomplishing scientific, cultural, militaristic, and economic milestones within each Age unlocks advantages in the next, you'll decide how and when your empire's identity and strategy develop.
CHART YOUR OWN PATH TO VICTORY
Shape your empire's unique story by pursuing a wide range of distinct Triumphs, attribute-based objectives that offer a player-driven experience. As each new Age expands the game's scope, it also brings opportunities to borrow elements from other civs, unlock new bonuses, and achieve Victory in myriad new and exciting ways. Order Commanders to move armies as one, engage enemies with revamped combat mechanics, equip swappable leader bonuses across campaigns with Mementos, and much more.
PLAY AS VISIONARY LEADERS OF PROGRESS
Embody illustrious leaders with one of Civilization's most diverse rosters yet, from traditional heads of state known for militaristic might or political prowess to visionaries who made lasting impacts on philosophy, science, human rights, and more. Your chosen leader will endure across the Ages, with a unique ability that can help reinforce or pivot your strategy from one Age into the next. For the first time in franchise history, leader selection is separate from your civilization, giving you the freedom to create all-new strategies by mixing and matching gameplay bonuses.
EXPLORE A WORLD VIVIDLY BROUGHT TO LIFE
Make your mark on a gorgeously detailed world! Your empire comes to life with a diverse range of cultural styles, represented across building architecture and Unit design. Traverse navigable rivers, explore the map's undiscovered reaches, and extend your borders with new Cities or specialized Towns. As your lavishly rendered territory expands, all of your scenic vistas, vibrant metropolises, and fledgling frontier territories will connect seamlessly across the ever-changing landscape.
TEST YOUR STRATEGIC METTLE IN MULTIPLAYER
Compete against other players online and prove your prowess as a great leader.* Multiplayer matches can be epic multi-Age campaigns or take place in a single Age, and cross-play is supported between PC and consoles, so you can play together with friends wherever they are.
*Online play and features (including progression bonuses) require an Internet connection and 2K Account (minimum age varies). Up to five players supported in the Antiquity & Exploration Ages. Up to eight players supported in the Modern Age. Map size restrictions may apply to certain cross-play multiplayer games. Terms apply.

Firaxis Games can and WILL scam you out of your money when they think they can get away with it. Founder's Edition was a lie sold for way more than the original game's price with the intention of exploiting all of Civ's greatest fans.
CIV 7 is unintuitive, complex, and difficult to understand. Perhaps someday I will master it, but right now it doesn't make any sense and forces decisions without adequate knowledge of the impact/effects. note: CIV 1 thru 5 were intuitive and easy to understand, but tricky to master. I don't remember much about CIV 6 except I didn't like it.
For my taste to stiff. Fells more like a "complex" mobile game than a typical 4X pc game. Subjectively a horrible ui, everything big, spits in your eyes, to much around, not focusing on information how im my opinion a strategy game should be. simplified systems like population, i´m not sure after nearly 10 hours ingame, but i think you can´t ♥♥♥♥ up a city with all the yields. edit 30hours: age transition not for me There is more lingering, but no fire, no life.
This "edition" of the Civilization lineage very much feels like an incomplete game, with bare-boned menus, a lack of in-game choices, and an overall sense of being a rush job with no real attention to detail or gameplay.
Its not ALL bad but its severely underwhelming. What I liked: - Good & improved graphics make the game feel real at times. - Large range of decisions/story choices that can affect your civ. - Antiquity age is bomb. What I disliked: - At the beginning of an era all civ's start with the same technological & cultural advancement, which realistically doesn't make sense. - Changing the difficulty doesn't seem to make AI play better or worse, just gives them more or less bonuses. - Culture & Technology tree feel short...or is it just me? Feels kind of empty. - For some reason they didn't add a futuristic era, or "elongated" modern era, so the game can end long before the 2000's, no skyscrapers, robots, and trying to build a airforce takes basically the whole era. - Exploration & Modern age feel empty as ♥♥♥♥♥. I had so much fun in the Antiquity age and I'm always immediately let down afterwards. Sometimes I only play for Antiquity and then immediately quit after the era switched. - Becomes boring after around 2 full playthroughs. I mostly continued just to look at the graphics and roleplay. - Shouldn't have to pay for stuff that should've been in the game when it launched... Overall I wouldn't recommend buying it unless its on sale AND someone offers to buy it for you. I wouldn't use your own dinero.

Despite being such a long-standing franchise, even Sid Meier makes mistakes. Civilization VII is lacking in depth and variety, opting instead to introduce new systems that lack development. As is usually the case with more recent Civilization games, there will likely be a large expansion that will improve the game flow vastly. Until then, I cannot recommend this game.
Its more or less fine, but it hardly runs. There's just way less content than in previous installments while it's also much more expensive. This is not worth seventy dollars, don't get this for more than half.
Rausgeschmissenes Geld. CIV VI war die beste CIV!!!
WORST Civ . Every aspect of the game is worse . War is bad : you dont decide when you stop . Ages are terrible - they wipe all your progress , intervene with your plans for no reason . Science works weird . Every mechanic is annoying . The amount of mechanics is stuggering : so many confusing stuff is happening , so many alerts regarding things you never knew existed ! The game does everything to confuse and annoy you , and nothing to help . Graphics are cool . Loading times are too high , especially when age changes . Leaders are , in most cases, are some random NPCs without any historical impact . I never heard about almost any of them . I downvote this game , because I love the series , and devs must know , that they are wrong . They did huge mistake , they lost loyal fans . I hope , they will learn the lesson . But if you read this to decide to buy or not - do not buy . You will suffer.
