He is coming, stalking criminals in the spirit world and the real world. A possessed man is coming, a voodoo mask in his chest and lines of power in his back. Shadow Man is coming, trailing evil from Liveside to Deadside. To stop an apocalypse. To save your soul.

Xbox Wireless Controller and 8BitDo Pro2 joystick input is nonfunctional when connected to docked Steam Deck. This issue applied to both wired and wireless connections. Both Left and Right stick clicks function. Face buttons, shoulder buttons and directional pad inputs function as well. All Steam Deck inputs function.
playing this on the N64 was one of the best times of my life, although the sounds on this remaster are a little diff i still really enjoy the entire game.
I didn't expect to like Shadow Man Remastered this much, I remember the original game being good, but I expected it to be very dated by now. That didn't happen. First, the remaster: this is a brilliant remaster, with many QoL features, better controls and camera, nice graphics enhancements, and HD textures that are faithful to the original but in much better quality. Nightdive deserves all the accolades once again. Now, the game itself: Shadow Man is the type of game that I love, and few games today try to do something similar, only FromSoftware's Souls games scratch the same itch in terms of level design. This is a big and complex 3D Metroidvania that will test your navigation and memorization skills, you explore a huge interconnected world with various sub-areas, get power-ups that will expand older areas and give you access to new ones. The level design is excellent with a nice variety in each area, and maze-like enough to always keep you thinking and solving the "navigational puzzle" of the world (But fear not, there is a world map and in-game hints that helps a little in case you get stuck). The atmosphere and worldbuilding are great and keeps you immersed and wanting to explore more. I personally like the voice acting, especially Shadow Man's. Music is also good and fits the tone, sometimes even disturbingly so. There are some weak spots: Combat is not that good, the focus of the game is clearly on exploration, the enemies are mainly there to keep you on your toes and add some tension, but sometimes it gets repetitive with the constant respawns (The Sisters Awake??). There are also some bad platforming sections that instakill you if you make even a tiny mistake, not a fan of these (You can save anytime if you want, at least). All in all, this game is still very good and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys an old-school 3D exploration experience.
Ah, yes, good old Shadowman, with its dark and brutal atmosphere. I loved it back then, and I love it now, after remaster. What’s new in this version? Better graphics, new enemies (including bosses), and revamped boss levels. Everything that developers didn’t include in the original version. And then there’s “The Horror”. And it's name stands for it cause it’s very, very difficult. A new difficulty isn’t just about more HP. The monsters have new weapons, new attacks, and there are way more of them. In my opinion, the developers went a bit too far with this. I like challenges, but some levels are borderline playable - mostly The Temples :) There are so many Sisters in the rooms that it’s not really a challenge—it’s a torment. And I’m saying this after beating The Horror on 100% (120 souls and 666 cadeaux). Never again.
Action-adventure Dark Souls but you are a supernatural demon hunting voodoo priest with a gun that can travel from the Bayou to the world of the dead to kill zombies and demons. It's gory af, it's death metal. The sound and environment design is crazy good, you can hear like some chains in the wind, babies crying, people screaming, mental psychological weird sh*t keeps going on like the maps are sometimes really big but something they cram you in small corridors labyrinths that feel completely suffocating. The main character is awesome, he looks like Blade if he was played by Samuel L Jackson, he's dating a hot babe that looks like Cleopatra. Idk if that does not look like a good time to you go get your head checked. It's insanely badass. Just get it.
