Shadow Man Remastered

Si la historia consiste en aventurarse al Más Allá para derrotar a un Mal Ancestral tiene sentido que la base del juego sea explorar ese mundo en busca de habilidades y objetos que ayuden en dicho avance. Eso sí el diseño es muy de su época: un (bien llevado) ir y venir entre zonas mientras se descubre cuál es el camino a seguir, una total ausencia de tutoriales o dirección y zonas tan intricadas como laberínticas. El trabajo de remasterización cumple acentuando lo mejor del título con texturas a mayor resolución junto a nueva iluminación, estabilidad en los fotogramas por segundo o un control más cómodo y fino.

legendary voice actor Redd Pepper killed it in his performance for this game. I remember playing this waaay back in the 1990s as a child and being freaked out and amazed at the same time I never got to finish it but this game has always held a special place in my memories. Nightdive studios did a great job remastering such an old game. I hope I some day I get to finish this game. "the horror the horror I embrace it"

Fantastic game! What a pleasant surprise! I always wanted to try shadowman but never did until now and I am delighted I did! Its kinda like a mix of Zelda Ocarina of time and Silent Hill 1 and it works! Pros - Awesome setting and atmosphere, Love the visual style. Its murky and weird and fun. - great variety of cool locations - Minimal handholding - Excellent level design with massive areas that interconnect with each other - Fun metroidvania style power ups that give access to new areas - Excellent music and sound effects (mostly) - Not cutscene heavy, just a few here and there to tell the story, gameplay takes centre stage. - Nice quality of life improvements in this remaster like improved controls, higher res textures, fps etc - Add content restored that was cut from original game - Deceptively large game and no padding. Plenty of meat in this game. Bang for your buck. - Lots of sneaky hidden little secrets and unlockables - Pretty humorous voice acting. Love Jaunty, Hes a wisecracking irish evil looking snake lol. (literally) - Pretty good challenge - Very well optimised. - No map (well...not really...there is a super basic overview of the world map listing all major areas but not a map OF each area) I actually love this. The game trusts you to pay attention and map the areas in your head or make notes. Love it. Cons -Some of the guns especially your main gun sounds a bit weak, needs more oomph. -Combat in general is very basic, it becomes more fun later as you get stronger and get more weapons but even so the combat is very basic which would be fine if it was minimal but there is quite a lot of it. This is the games biggest issue. -Some animations are a bit slow, climbing and swimming and pulling yourself over ledges. This slows the pacing if you are lost and rethreading areas which you are likely to do a lot. So glad I gave this game a chance. The best game I have played so far in 2026. Absolutely loved it. 8/10

Lo jugué la primera vez en la N64 a finales de los 90 en la versión americana que estaba en inglés solamente, el mejor juego de algún heroe de comic y el mejor metroidvania en 3D jamás creado. Solo vengo a revisitar esta joya para sacar los Logros en Steam. Un Video Juego alucinante que recomiendo a cualquiera que le guste perderse por mundos tremendamente bien construidos e historias de profecias, asesinos seriales ;D

I genuinely don't understand why I haven't heard a peep about this game before. It's been ages since I've enjoyed a game this much! It's SO over the top edgy SO genuinely, that sometimes I can't help but cry with laughter! It's exactly why I absolutely adore old games like this. We've changed so much creatively with the media we consume and favour, that games like these become almost comical when they're trying to be as serious as they can be. And like, in the same vein it also gives you a new appreciation for the edgy style they're going for as a lost art. Outside of my deep appreciation for the lost art of gorey edge, it's also genuinely impressive how this game got remastered. It runs super smoothly, looks crisp and yet still has that clear retro feel to it.

Der Horror. DER HORROR. Umarme ihn. Spüre ihn. Werde Eins mit ihm. Dieses Spiel ist seiner Zeit voraus. Von dem geilen Soundtrack bis hin zur den atemberaubenden Cutscenes ist dieses Spiel ein rundes Erlebnis. Man wird sich anfangs wahrscheinlich verlaufen und verwirrt sein. Umarme deine Situation und das Gefühl. Denn das ist Teil des HORRORS. Also greift zu, werdet der Lord von Deadside und spüre die dunkle Seelen. Viel Spaß.

Great classic

This game offers such a unique experience. Extra points for nostalgia factor since I played a bit the original when I was a young kid and I still remember just how WEIRD this game felt back then. In a good sense. Now, playing the remaster, being older myself, I can trully appreciate its pretty good humour, too.
