Kathy Rain

There are a lot of point and click adventure games out there, and I feel Kathy Rain has a lot of things going against it that you should consider before purchasing. Feel incredibly Twin Peaks from the start. Small town mystery, with immediate hints at a fantastical element, and potential conspiracy. But the story is very slow to get going, and is slow once it gets going. Both in terms of rhythm, as well as the literal movement and action of the characters. Just walking across the screen can get boring when you're retracing you steps for the 2-3 time if you feel you might have missed something. The game is missing a strong hook, initially - neither the mystery, nor the main character provide enough to get me personally interested. Will probably try the second installment.

A gripping mystery that humbled me. I didn’t expect the story to take such a dark and mysterious turn. The first two chapters were smooth sailing—easy enough that I felt pretty confident in my detective skills. But once the logic started getting really complicated, I realized my brain just couldn't keep up anymore. Even so, this is a great game. The voice acting is solid, the music fits the mood perfectly, and you really can't fault the classic pixel art style. It has so much charm. Honestly, I have so much respect for anyone who managed to solve everything from start to finish without a single guide. As for me, I’ll be admiring the story from the sidelines while looking up the answers. 😂

This is a fun, quick point-and-click game with good dialogue, an intriguin mystery, and interesting puzzles. I wouldn't have minded if it were a bit longer, or if it hadn't taken its turn to the supernatural, but I definitely enjoyed the game.

very fun, some head scratchers in there, story was interesting, definatly playing the other instalments, will say depending on your moral values certain topics in this might not be to your likeing, like suicide for example. all and all i enjoyed the mystery and gameplay

I was looking for a game similar to Night in the Woods and while I can't say they are exactly the same, the supernatural, metaphorical and somehow comfortingly eerie nature of the games draw parrelles in my mind. This game was charming and emotional and after playing through in one day I was delighted to see there were achievements left to obtain in later playthroughs! I hope everyone who comes across this game gives it the time I so humbly claim it deserves because you will not regret it, I can't wait for a while to pass so one day I forget the captivating story of this game and that allows me to experience its craftmanship and charm with fresh eyes once again. This game is, and I don't say this lightly, a true 10/10 adventure.

Gra zachwyca przede wszystkim dobrze napisanymi dialogami oraz wyrazistą, charyzmatyczną bohaterką, której losy śledzi się z dużym zaangażowaniem. Historia jest pełna tajemnic i stopniowo odkrywanych wątków, co sprawia, że trudno się od niej oderwać. Oprawa graficzna w stylu pixel art buduje wyjątkowy klimat, a dopasowana ścieżka dźwiękowa dodatkowo wzmacnia napięcie i emocje. Zagadki są logiczne i satysfakcjonujące, nie frustrują, a jednocześnie dają poczucie prawdziwego postępu. Całość tworzy bardzo spójne i dopracowane doświadczenie, które z powodzeniem trafia zarówno do fanów retro, jak i nowych graczy szukających ciekawej historii. Polecam.

Point Click tarzı, güzel bir hikaye sonrası sona eren oyunları seviyorum, en sevdiğim şey de var: kapkare, piksel piksel karakterler <3 Zamanında ürün ücretsizmiş, hey gidi güzel günler diyorum ve oyunu merak edenleri inidirimi beklemeye davet ediyorum, bu fiyat biraz fazla diye düşünüyorum. 8-9 saat güzel vakit geçirebileceğiniz, 10 üzerinden 6 vereceğim bulmacaları olan, müzikleri ve seslendirmesi son derece başarılı bir oyun. Daha net bir son beklerdim ama dahası var demek için idealdi. Sonradan gelen not: e ama dahası yokmuş??? Kathy Rain 2 de bu konuyla ilgilidir sanmıştım?!?!

The story was interesting, some classic puzzles not to much heavy thinking needed but a couple of head scratching moments.. cant say much more without spoiling anything but it was journey that left me reflecting on some of lifes challenges.
