He is coming, stalking criminals in the spirit world and the real world. A possessed man is coming, a voodoo mask in his chest and lines of power in his back. Shadow Man is coming, trailing evil from Liveside to Deadside. To stop an apocalypse. To save your soul.

I'm glad I found a remastered version of this game... Since N64, I haven't played it.
I played a whole lot of different games, but Shadow Man is still my favorite of all time. The music is sensational, unsettling and I used to listen to the music to fall asleep about 15 years ago (yeah I'm weird). The Remaster has places we didn't have in the original Version and it's honestly so cool to get these extras. I got all dark souls, almost all cadeaux (which is a pain in the a) and there is a door behind the max level gate, that I couldn't enter yet, but got spoilers when I wanted to know if it's a bug (I won't give that spoiler here). Apparently there is also a way higher difficulty and new game+ you can do after completing it normally for the first time, so it definitely has replay value. The fact that Jack the Ripper really existed and knowing the backstory makes that part especially unsettling and I named myself back then after "Avery Marx", which is another "Mini-Boss" and probably the most creepy one in the entire game. If you played the game back then and think you saw everything - Quite a bit changed and quite a bit of new things were added in the Remaster that are 100% worth getting this one as well. There are really just two things I didn't really like back then, that are also the case in the Remaster and that's the huge amount of backtracking and that the game is like a maze almost throughout. As someone who already has a big problem with orientation in real life, this is a nightmare in the game and also makes it really difficult to find all cadeaux. Thankfully there are guides that help a lot with it. In short: In my opinion, it's absolutely worth the price and the time you would spend on the game and it's a game that's absolutely unique. I played hundreds of games in my life and not a single one was like this. It's really a masterpiece
THIS GAME IS A MASTERPIECE
Good old N64 classic, brings back good old memories.
👍
Use the flambeau to get the cadeaux! A unique horror adventure for some, a mediocre collectathon for others.
