This game is a port of the Games for Windows - Live version that was released in 2009. If you buy the Untold Stories Bundle here on Steam, it will be the same as upgrading to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 33/day in the week after.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.63/day in the week to Jul 21 → 38.4/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Seven Minutes... 😂 ⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD! This review contains story and ending spoilers for Resident Evil 5. I played Resident Evil 6 before Resident Evil 5, so going back to RE5 was a pretty interesting experience. I already knew Chris, Jill, and some of the other characters, so seeing an earlier part of their story was really cool. I already knew a few things because of RE6, but I still enjoyed experiencing RE5 for myself. Chris & Sheva I really liked Chris and Sheva together. Sheva was a new character for me, and I thought she worked really well as Chris's partner. Their partnership feels natural throughout the game, and I enjoyed having someone fighting alongside me. Since RE6 was my first Resident Evil co-op experience, I already knew I enjoyed playing Resident Evil with another person. RE5 continued that experience and made co-op feel like a big part of the game. Helping each other during fights, healing each other, sharing resources, and dealing with all the chaos together was really fun. Seeing Jill Valentine was probably one of the biggest surprises for me. I had already played RE3 Remake, so I knew Jill from that version of her story. Then I played RE5 and saw her here... Wait, Jill?! 😂 It felt kind of weird seeing her in RE5 after experiencing her story in RE3 Remake first. But at the same time, it was really cool because I got to see another part of her story and understand what happened to her after Raccoon City. Finding out that Wesker was controlling her and seeing Chris trying so hard to save her made her appearance much more meaningful to me. And seeing Chris finally save Jill was a really satisfying moment. And then there's Wesker. This dude is ridiculously OP. He's teleporting around, avoiding bullets and moving faster than everyone else, and then casually catches a rocket like it's nothing. BRO?! 😂 At that point I wasn't even thinking, "How do I beat this guy?"I was thinking: "What the hell is this dude?" Then he hits you with: "Seven minutes. Seven minutes is all I can spare to play with you." Dude is fighting Chris and Jill while apparently checking his schedule at the same time. 😂 The fight also confused me at first. I spent way too much time running around trying to survive because I didn't immediately understand what I was supposed to do. Eventually I figured it out, but that first experience was definitely memorable. The Volcano Final Boss... Bruh And then we get to the final fight. The volcano. This part took me WAY longer than it should have. 😂 I kept running around the area trying to figure out what I was supposed to do. I was basically doing: Run away → turn around → see Wesker → run away again → repeat. I genuinely thought that was the strategy. I kept looping around that area so many times that I started getting mad. Then I finally realized... Nope. That's not how the fight works at all. Finding out what I was actually supposed to do after wasting all that time was honestly frustrating. 😂 But once I understood the fight, it became much easier. And then there's Chris punching the boulder. I'm sorry... WHAT?! 😂 I know Resident Evil can get ridiculous, but Chris really looked at a giant boulder and decided: "Yeah, I can punch that." I'll never forget that scene. The Camera & Shooting One thing that honestly frustrated me was the camera and shooting controls. Coming from RE6 and the newer Resident Evil games, RE5 took some getting used to. The camera can feel awkward during fights, and the shooting feels more restrictive than what I'm used to. There were definitely moments where I was trying to aim at an enemy while also fighting the camera. 😂 I eventually got used to it, but there were still moments where the controls made things more frustrating than they needed to be. It's definitely an older control style, so I had to adjust instead of expecting it to feel like a modern Resident Evil game. The Action & Horror Unlike RE6, I don't feel like RE5 is full action. It's definitely more action-focused, but it still has those horror vibes. Even with co-op, there are still creepy areas, tense moments, disturbing enemies, and an atmosphere that reminds you you're playing Resident Evil. You still have to explore, manage your resources, and deal with whatever is waiting around the next corner. That's something I appreciated about RE5. It's action, but it still feels like Resident Evil. And honestly, the co-op makes the action even more fun. Final Thoughts Playing RE6 first and then going back to RE5 was actually pretty cool.I already knew some of these characters, but getting to experience an earlier part of their story gave me more context for them. I especially enjoyed seeing Chris, Jill, and, while Sheva was a great new character for me. The story isn't perfect, and the game definitely has some frustrating moments, especially with the camera, shooting controls, and some boss encounters. But honestly, some of those frustrating moments became funny memories afterward. Wesker catching a rocket like it's nothing? Bruh. 😂 The "Seven minutes" fight had me running around like I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. The volcano fight had me looping around the same area over and over until I finally realized I wasn't even doing it correctly. And Chris punching that boulder... Yeah. I still can't get over that. RE5 is definitely a different kind of Resident Evil, but I had a lot of fun with it. It has action, co-op, horror vibes, memorable characters, ridiculous moments, and some frustrating parts that I'll probably remember forever. Action-heavy, sometimes frustrating, sometimes hilarious, but still a really memorable Resident Evil experience.
