Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Me and my two other friends bought this game because of its 3 player co-op campaign. Apparently THERE IS NO 3 player co-op. Two players are humans that actually shoot, and the third player is a hovering robot that can only: watch the fight, pick up unreachable items and slightly support the other two. The third player is effectively a garbage collector. I'm totally disappointed. It's AT MOST co-op for 2.5 players. It should've been clearly stated in the game description.
The pitch: Gears 5 is the most technically accomplished game in the franchise and the least ambitious. If you've never touched a Gears game, this is genuinely the best entry point, it plays faster and cleaner than anything before it, and it functions as a highlight reel of the franchise's 20-year run. If you've played the others, you already own most of this game. What's new: Kait Diaz as the sole protagonist (a genuine shift, not a gimmick, she'd been playable since Gears 4 but this is her story), Del as a strong addition to the squad, and the Warden, dual crystallized maces, armored everywhere except the head, the one enemy in the bestiary that isn't a hand-me-down. Everything else in the roster is legacy stock: Swarmak is a corrupted Brumak, the Matriarch is a Berserker with new lore, Snatchers and Carriers are unchanged imports from Gears 4. Difficulty read this before you buy : the achievement list only cares about two tiers: base completion, and Insane (plus the multiplayer-grind-heavy "Seriously 5.0," which also demands 20 re-ups, General rank in Tour of Duty, and Mastered Horde/Escape not realistically doable outside a dedicated multiplayer grind). Nothing rewards or verifies anything in between. Practically, that means "Experienced," "Hardcore," and friends are unaudited settings, enemy health and damage get multiplied with no evidence anyone balanced them for solo play. This isn't new, the original Gears did the same thing with Insane locked behind a first clear. It's a franchise habit, not a Gears 5 problem specifically, but it's worth knowing before you commit to a difficulty for your first run. Verdict: Great tech, safe writing, real difficulty-design negligence outside the top tier. Worth playing. Not worth expecting anything new from.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I remember playing this game through the Xbox Game Pass a few years ago. I liked it a lot. So, for $5, why not buy it. I had to turn Core Isolation (more specifically, Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection) off to run the game, due to Easy Anti-Cheat not being compatible. What a shame. Refunded.
The game is just playable for graphics and adventure. It was boring at first for its repetitive gameplay from Gears 4 like juvies, swarms attacks, and there wasn't a single storyline I could follow properly. But thankfully, the good graphics and adventure in icy worlds and a Martian desert environment make the game playable. my rating 2.75/5

The worst Gears War game ever, super boring, half the game you're just riding around in a boat on ice without fighting anyone, it feels like a cozy game, no wonder the "modern" developers replaced the protagonists and even removed the "war" from the title.
its ok i mean gears four and five in my opineon is ok i think they shouldve left it off at 3 but theyh didnt it feels like there dragging but if you just like gears for gears then its not a bad game to play
