Very fun game to play with friends or mess with mods by yourself. Peak.

It's a great solid game, but seems development is dead. Leaving modders to create content and updates for the game. So expect a good story and gameplay similar to boneworks and that's it.

I can't believe i can't change my mods folder, the game is good but please make an option to change the mod directory i can't even enjoy the game i have a very limited space in my C disk and it's very annoying i can't even install more than three mods. Y'ALL NEED TO FIX THIS GAME Sorry if my english is bad i'm currently studying it.

If a "Mixed" option for a review existed, this would be a game I would label as such. It's Boneworks but with some nice QoL features added and custom player body support. The campaign is...not great. There are 6 levels dedicated to teaching you about the individual characters. It could have been 1 level asking you to swap between them all, leaving room for more Boneworks-esque stuff. This game is mod dependent, and the mods that exist are great! But it gets boring shooting NPC's when the main campaign is ♥♥♥♥ and the modded levels don't really do much. It's cool they're building an engine for VR games, and I respect the dedication behind it, but communication with the player base about progress is once in a blue moon. If they kept us more up to date I'd recommend it more, but we were promised 2 game updates in 2025, none of which happened. To me, it feels like it's a game engine first, a modding hub second, and a game third. It can be fun, but I'm burnt out of it. I can't really recommend this game honestly.

Overall, I feel like It was a massive disapointment from the open-ended story of boneworks. This game is more like the mine cart section you play. It's asking you to make the game and fun for them.

BoneLab is definitely one of if not my favorite game ever. Everything the story, mod support, game mechanics, graphics are all amazing in this game. I remember playing Boneworks when it released and it was astonishing how good the physics where and the vastness of the game, and when I saw there was going to be another game I was instantly sucked into the universe of the games. This is defiantly a must play if you have a vr headset. Absolute CINAMA.

Amazing campaign. Mod support is great. I use Fusion to play multiplayer and it's amazing. Highly recommended.
