The single player game runs fine and is very similar to the board game. We have attempted to play seven or eight multiplayer games and have succeeded on possibly three occasions to complete them. Bugs include the game crashing at various points and not allowing you to proceed, the options for moves on the right hand side not appearing correctly, the tiles not displaying either in the market place or on an opponents board. It's a shame as the multiplayer aspect is the most appealing part of this game, and I hope it is fixed soon!
I really like this game! Its super simple to play and a great secondary game to have playing next to another game with loading times or lobbies. Not sure what all the hate is for. I love this game!
I love Overboss and play the physical game all the time. Got this to be an easier and quicker way to play with my wife. This is a "playable" adaptation. It lacks quality of life features like an undo button or being able to customize what tiles you would like to play with. Would not buy unless you really want a digital version. If the developers put in a little more effort could be a perfect adaptation, but I think they moved on to their next project.
The save files keep getting corrupted. This causes some massive headaches. Example would be I will have a solo file save file from sept 10th. I log on Spet 12th and now I have a mulitplayer save file from April 4th. This has happened more than a handfull of times and I am done.
I have read the terrible reviews of the past few months: I see there have been some issues with the game at launch, however I am pretty sure the devs must have fixed it by now. Over the few enjoyable hours that I've played, I have encountered no bugs nor issues whatsoever. It is a fun game and I can only recommed it, if you're a fan of world-building boardgames and you like the retro-game aesthetic
Meh... I played the demo of this game for hours, I was expecting something a little different...I was hoping it would be more fleshed out in the full version... the campaign is abysmally bad. The conditions are absolutely ridiculous to try and nail on each map... You basically have to go for one of the tile conditions and then go for the score condition. Trying to do both tile conditions and the score is near impossible without perfect RNG... of which this game is heavily dependent on for replay value. There's almost no strategy involved because you will, at some point, get screwed over by bad tile pulls... it's actually insanely frustrating to me how inept this game actually is. Once you focus on achievements, the game quickly falls apart, you'll net them in less than a few hours... the hardest of which is to get a score of 9... it took me about 30 minutes to finally figure it out. You basically have to use desert tiles, stagger them so they don't connect, and use other tiles that are only worth 1 point each. Make sure not to band monsters together or place the proper monster types on tiles, don't use boss powers and use a small 3x4 tile set and you basically nail it every time. It's actually annoying that the most frustrating and challenging achievement was to get a bad score... that just goes to show you how shallow and pointless this game is. There's some supporter pack, of which you literally have to purchase to earn an achievement, which is just pathetic in all honesty... They lock one of the tile types (tower) behind a pay wall and then throw an achievement at you for using that tile set. The boss characters you receive in the supporter pack have multiplayer only based powers... no one is playing this garbage online :/ If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have bothered... I spent about $9 total for everything and yeah, wish I would have just bought some food with it... This game has zero lasting appeal and replay value. The campaign is literally just you pulling a slot machine and getting lucky enough to win. Even with the right strategies, you'll get boned at some point. The difficulty only changes how many attempts you get to complete it... that's it... it doesn't actually make the game any harder because the game is already just random as piss... Skip it, not even worth your time or effort... this game does make you use your brain a little bit harder than usual for certain things but at the end of the day, it's all RNG.

10/10, doesn´t work, pls notify me when it´s possible to play a full online match
I admit bias as a game developer for Brotherwise, but I think this game is awesome. Most of the bugs were fixed, and it does a great job of porting the physical game to the screen. The world feels alive as all the sprites move in beautiful pixel animation, and it truly makes you feel like a boss creating your own overworld to be the Overboss of.
