About
Wingspan - Relaxing Strategy Card Game About Birds for 1 to 5 players.
The officially licensed digital adaptation of Wingspan, the winner of the prestigious 2019 Kennerspiel des Jahres board game award.

You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.

In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.

if you love birds like me, you'll love this game, fr. it's so wonderfully made, the pictures are breathtaking. the gameplay? quite fun too, though i'm a sucker for the visuals so that's what i focus the most on :b
This game (the board game more specifically) along with my best friend have managed to convince me to take up bird watching. 10/10
The game is fine but the AI took forever to run. Most of the time it just waiting for the AI turns.
I really really love this board game and I really wanted to also like the PC version of it, but a large amount of small UI oddities combined with a very easy to beat AI and a somewhat odd matchmaking system make the game so much less enjoyable that I can't in good faith recommend it. If you already like the board game, you will probably still be able to enjoy this PC version despite it's flaws. If you aren't familiar with the board game version, I think you're better off passing on this one until you can try out the board game IRL. I am strongly hoping that Stonemaier partners with a different developer for future games, or that they just spend more time playtesting it, or that they more thoroughly present what they need from a PC version of the game in order for it to be fun, because I feel that more feedback would have really helped this game shine in a way the board game version already does.
Wingspan is my favorite board game, and to see an wonderful rendition made digitally is fantastic. I play this game at least once a day, and probably will for the foreseeable future. It runs great on the Steam Deck as well.
A great multiplayer board game to play with friends. The birds are gorgeous alongside the art and you get to learn a lot about them. Great for people who aren't gamers since the controls are pretty easy. I'm terrible at the game, but still have fun playing it with friends. It's super relaxing! Finished? - Steam Achievements? If you like the original board game, this is absolutely worth the price. The interface is easy to master after a few rounds, the graphics it's not just a faithful representation of the board game, but it's definitely a step forward and soundtrack is absolutely fit and relaxing. If you don't know the original game but still are into board games or are just curious I would give this a try as well. With the help of the tutorial, it's easy to get familiar with rules and game dynamics. I am positively surprised of how good and challenging the single player options are. I bought the game to casually play when I cannot don't have time to play with friends or online and I am totally happy with what I got. I would also love buying the DLCs or even the season pass, but I find them a bit expensive compared to the main game price. That's the only thing that I dislike, so far.
Its the best card/board game i have ever played, got me really engaged. 10/10 will keep playing.
The game is slow, and keep notifying me needless . I only play because my family like the board game. you can't disable controller support while having this open with a side app
I am rather fond of the silly bird engine game. The fact I can pull birds that I just see day to day flying around and play them to do stuff and win a game, I find pretty neat. I have the boardgame and absolutely love it and the digital version is no exception
