This game completely lives up to its reputation. I tried playing it when it came out but I was too young and scared, so I never finished it. However, a few days ago I decided to give it another go and I can definitely say it's one of the best horror games I've ever played. The atmosphere and feelings of dread and helplessness are unmatched. I think the only other game that makes me feel that way is Alien Isolation. The fact that you can't fight really adds to the atmosphere and horror and makes you panic when you hear an unknown or strange sound coming from the corner of a room or when a door is right there in front of you, suspiciously ajar. Phenomenal game design to say the least. The night vision camera and battery system is also ingenious and adds a lot to the game. The game does a good job of explaining the lore and story with notes and documents and a lot of it is pretty straightforward. However, if you want to get the full picture, you have to read the comic. All in all, I have nothing bad to say about this game and it will definitely go down in history as a horror classic.

nice game i shat myself like one billion times also that guy needs to calm down with opening and closing doors man.. also also felt like dbd with all the chasing - i loved it good musica good jumpscares....... fun game to stream now the other parts... *gulp*

Only a few games have made be feel actually scared, this is one of them.

Just beat outlast, I really like it lmfao, Its good for a introductury into outlast as a whole really like it 10/10

Probably still the best horror game every made to this day. This will forever be one of the largest stepping stones and inspirations for horror games for the foreseeable future.

The story is interesting, the music is really pleasant and the visuals are on point. My only complaint is that well, not to be one of those guys, but this game just isn't scary, the only thing that scared me was that first jumpscare you get with the hung up body bag. Did not scratch that horror itch or give me nightmares, but overall a fun game.
