I love Outlast so much, I remember used to watch PewDiePie playing it on YouTube. Today is the day I 100% it. Such goated horror game.

Outlast is one of those horror games that reminds you that being helpless can be far scarier than being armed. The atmosphere is oppressive from the moment you enter the asylum, and it only gets more intense as the game progresses. The night vision camera is a brilliant mechanic. Every battery matters, and when you're forced to choose between seeing what's chasing you or saving power for later, the tension is incredible. The sound design deserves just as much praise as the visuals. Every scream, distant footstep, and slammed door keeps you on edge. Even after several hours, I was still hesitating before opening the next door. The story is intriguing without getting in the way of the gameplay, and the pacing rarely slows down. Chases are exciting, exploration is rewarding, and the game constantly finds new ways to make you feel vulnerable. If you're looking for a horror game that focuses on fear, atmosphere, and survival rather than combat, Outlast is an easy recommendation. Even years after its release, it remains one of the best horror games ever made.

Локації дурки трохи одноманітні але через постійну напругу і подвижний геймплей це не сильно кидається в очі і враження не псує. До того ж на локаціях часто розкидані записки або файли які цікаво читати і розказують більше про місцевий контингент. Якщо говорити про персонажів то дизайн в них непоганий, бігати від них весело і стрьомно, особливо запамʼятався доктор і перша зустріч з ним. Геймплей простий, але дуже ефективний. Постійно доводиться ховатися від ворогів, економити заряд батарейок для камери та шукати виходи. Звучить так то нудно, але грається класно. Outlast один з самих найкращих хорорів, який варто зіграти хочаб раз. 8/10

One of the best horror games I've played. Although I've watched several walkthroughs of Outlast years ago, playing it now is a completely different experience. There is a genuine sense of fear that settles itself in you, both in the main game and in the whistleblower DLC. Really love the fact that the mechanics are quite simple and all you have to do is "run, hide or die". I must also mention that the story and lore is beautifully told. Every document you find, every note your protagonist writes and every detail in the asylum has something to tell you that will blow your mind. The villains are iconic, to say the least. Lastly, the steam achievement to complete both the main game and the DLC in Insane mode is what really amped up the experience. (where enemies are faster, you have less batteries and most importantly, dying will reset the whole game from the beginning - NO CHECKPOINTS!). My heart has never beaten faster than this when playing a game. Experiencing Outlast on Insane mode is like playing a completely different game altogether, even if you've played the game numerous times on a lower difficulty. No wonder only 0.2% of players have this!

too mdfking scary for no reason you gotta have diapers and extra underwear to play this game and i recommend playing it with a friend cuz alone is too scary. haven't even tried to play in dark and windows closed yet, i would ♥♥♥♥ myself just from Miles intensive breathing stressing me out

I picked this up in the steam summer sale Just finished it in one sitting and it wasn't bad. The jumpscares were great at the start however i felt after 2 hours there wasn't really anymore jumpscares or anything. I did like the game overall it did get a bit repetitive after a while but yeah it was good. Honestly tempted to buy Outlast Trials now. 6.5/10 (0.5 added due to dih)

best horror game ive played, everything in the game is perfect, constant pressure, rare but terrifying jumpscares, evrything is going to try to make you uncomfortable and it works 10/10 experience

Horrifying. No bugs or glitches experienced, great story (its important to read the doc's you pick up, you find out cool things!) Terrifying monsters, the music always keeps you on edge, great game overall.

nice game i shat myself like one billion times also that guy needs to calm down with opening and closing doors man.. also also felt like dbd with all the chasing - i loved it good musica good jumpscares....... fun game to stream now the other parts... *gulp*
