Es un juego entretenido, y como las mecánicas de cada especie son diferentes no se hace repetitivo
Doesn't have multiplayer support anymore Can't refund

I've played it before in 2015 It's not bad game, BUT game seems to me somehow unfinished there are some things that are really missing in the game in my opinion not much has changed since the beginning there are a lot more expensive games that are worse than this one so my opinions "try and return"
Mechanics and functions were not explained in a manner that made comprehensible how the systems work in full, it lacked much needed implementations present in other RTS's, and the game lacked a sense of life. While actively engaged, the game-play was not engaging on an emotional level and so, not enjoyable. It's a beautiful game, but incomplete. If the devs ever add, or change systems, I will give it another chance, and update my review accordingly.
I refunded it
For $5 you cant go wrong. Great game
Nightside is a science-fiction real-time strategy game developed and published by OMNIDREAM CREATIONS that combines traditional RTS systems with a distinctive environmental mechanic built around darkness and visibility. Blending base construction, resource gathering, tactical combat, and faction-based warfare, the game creates a strategy experience that feels familiar in structure while introducing enough unique ideas to establish its own identity. Rather than relying entirely on established genre conventions, Nightside builds much of its gameplay around environmental conditions that constantly influence battlefield awareness and strategic planning. The setting immediately separates the game from more traditional science-fiction strategy titles. Players are sent to a distant world trapped in permanent darkness, where survival and expansion revolve around securing an important resource known as green ice. Multiple civilizations compete for control over this valuable material, creating conflict that extends across hostile terrain where visibility itself becomes one of the most important resources available. Darkness is not simply visual presentation. It becomes a defining gameplay mechanic. One of Nightside's most memorable features comes from how information is controlled during matches. Instead of using a conventional fog-of-war system, visibility depends largely on light generated by units and structures. Exploration requires deliberate movement. Expanding territory requires awareness. Enemy forces can emerge unexpectedly from unseen areas if players fail to maintain sufficient visibility. This system creates tension throughout matches because information remains limited unless players actively establish control over their surroundings. The campaign introduces players to the planet through the perspective of Adam, a human explorer who becomes involved in larger conflicts after arriving on the mysterious world. As progression continues, players uncover details surrounding the planet and the civilizations competing for dominance. The story itself remains secondary to strategy systems, but it provides enough context to support progression while helping create stronger investment in the setting. Faction diversity contributes significantly to replay value. Nightside includes multiple playable races, each built around different strategic strengths and mechanical identities. Rather than changing visual presentation alone, factions influence how players approach expansion, resource management, and combat decisions. Some emphasize mobility and adaptability, while others focus more heavily on infrastructure or battlefield control. Learning those differences becomes an important part of mastering the game. Resource management remains central to progression. Green ice serves as the foundation for expansion and military development, forcing players to constantly balance growth and defense. Expanding too aggressively without maintaining protection creates vulnerability. Playing too cautiously can leave opponents with greater economic advantages. This balance creates meaningful decision-making throughout progression. Base construction follows familiar RTS foundations while benefiting from the visibility systems that shape battlefield control. Positioning infrastructure carefully matters because expansion naturally influences exploration and security. Establishing territory becomes more meaningful when environmental awareness directly affects survival and military effectiveness. Combat moves at a faster pace than some larger-scale strategy experiences, emphasizing adaptability and battlefield awareness. Positioning matters heavily because incomplete information creates uncertainty during engagements. Enemy attacks emerging from unexplored territory create moments of tension that reinforce the unique atmosphere driving the experience. The darkness mechanic particularly strengthens combat encounters because battlefield conditions remain unpredictable. Players rarely feel completely safe. Maintaining awareness becomes just as important as military strength, creating strategic situations where preparation and map control often determine outcomes before direct conflict even begins. Artificial intelligence skirmishes and multiple map options help strengthen replayability beyond campaign progression. Experimenting with factions and refining strategies against computer opponents creates additional opportunities for mastery while allowing players to better understand how different systems interact. Visually, Nightside embraces a science-fiction presentation built around contrast and illumination. Glowing structures and battlefield lighting effects help reinforce the atmosphere while also supporting gameplay clarity. The visual design serves mechanical goals effectively because visibility itself remains deeply connected to progression. The game occasionally reveals limitations common to smaller independent productions. Certain elements may lack refinement found in larger-budget strategy releases, and some players accustomed to extensive quality-of-life features may notice rougher edges. However, the strongest ideas driving the experience remain compelling enough to overcome many of those limitations. What ultimately makes Nightside memorable is its commitment to a central concept that influences nearly every aspect of gameplay. Darkness shapes exploration. Darkness shapes combat. Darkness shapes strategic planning. Rather than introducing a unique mechanic purely for novelty, OMNIDREAM CREATIONS integrates it deeply into the overall design. Nightside succeeds because it respects traditional RTS foundations while building enough originality around them to feel distinctive. Players who enjoy science-fiction strategy games focused on tactical thinking, resource management, and environmental awareness will likely appreciate what the game attempts to achieve. Rating: 6/10
