The story makes zero sense but the game was fun. Really brought me back to the days when I use to sit up late playing on my NES after my parents told me to go to bed. Pick it up on sale.
The random attack patterns from bosses makes this game much more frustrating than it needs to be. (I'm looking at you Brandish)
BRILLIANT PLATFORMER
Megaman
Overall, there are some good ideas here for a tie-in, crossover, but the execution did not hit and it felt.... rushed. First, this is a tie-in game to Azure Striker Gunvolt. The fact that most of the main story revolves around this makes this apparent. Eboro from Gal Gun also gets a stage. Beck is just there. There ARE 4 bonus stages there: 1 for Gunvolt, 1 for Gal Gun, and 2 for Mighty No. 9. Each of the 3 characters has a nod to their games, especially with their charge attacks. Gunvolt has a double-jump & charges to an electric beam. Ekoro can glide & charges to an attraction attack (enemy will join you). Beck has a slide & charges to a dash. For the most part: you can ignore the charge attacks. Gunvolt's leaves you as a stationary sitting duck. Ekoro has the same problem as Axl in Mega Man X7, where the charge is to weak to take advantage of. Beck's charge does not go through projectiles in a projectile heavy game. Gameplay: Each stage is set up to be like a Mega Man style jump n shoot. This is fine. There are a few instances where the teaching without telling shows up and it's great. But, the level ends before things can really get started. Standard stage, boss, move on. After 4th stage, you go straight into Stage 5 which is literally just the final boss. Beat them and you are done. That's it. For you achievement hunters out there, this is a quick one to do. The first-play through the game will take about 30-40 minutes. You can probably get your full hundo in about 2 hours, give or take? Hardest one is probably the hitless boss (scout with another character, grind with Gunvolt, since he has the double-jump and strength). Overall: this isn't necessarily a bad game, but overall it's kind of pointless and doesn't add anything to the original Azure Striker Gunvolt (in the way Curse of the Moon does for Bloodstained). It felt rushed and not polished at all, especially with the verbal garbage that is the "story" that you get before and after the game. Also: even though the are "3 endings" in the achievements, all 3 character endings are the same terrible ending with the same bad translations. Ideas were there, but middle of the road at best and pointless. There are SO many other games that are similar that do things MUCH better.
Very similar to NES Mega Man, a bit shorter though
I mean it's alright like (play as Gunvolt Beck and Ekora are too mid)
Short but sweet!!
good
é como o primeiro gunvolt só que mais simples e no estilo dos megaman clássicos
