Fight your way across the celestial world of Avalice where cats are green, motorcycles drive up walls and monster girls do most of the buttkicking! Freedom Planet is a cartoony, combat-based platform adventure that pits a spunky dragonoid and her friends against an alien attack force.

No joke review thid time, this one's actually a very...VERY good game. I've had this ever sense it came out on the Wii U and I rebought it on Steam. Fast forward to today and the game is still polished and well made. I also recommend getting the Freedom Planet+ mod as that adds in some cut content like the costumes in the time trials and readds Torque who was originally playable in the beta and makes Spade playable as well with the 2 originally planned to be DLC. Get this game and it's OST, it's worth the $21.
please add native, immediate controller support. its 2026 and this is a platformer that you're still selling
Sonic inspired game with combat/. Fun, great pixel art for indie game.
The Brevon fight made me quit the game. All the other bosses, fine. They were a bit of challenge. But I overcame them. But Brevon? The brevon fight broke me. Brevon is more like a Dark Souls boss than a freedom planet boss. Deleting the game from my Library and I will not be buying Fredom Planet 2. I regret buying this game.
It's like Sonic, but cooler combat. There is an element of exploration to each level and collectables encourage that. I assume the endgame is to know each level like the back of your own hand, and these collecting these collectables is basically the tutorial to understand each level. Fun little story. I enjoyed unlocking and playing Milla. Her block combat is strangely satisfying. Played this over a decade ago and came back to it and it's surprisingly fun!
Эта планета свободы просит!
i like dragons
I never got into sonic but I now understand why people got into sonic. THIS ISN'T SONIC, THIS IS A TOTALLY ORIGINAL CHARACTER! People should really get their facts straight. The gameplay is great, the voice acting is great, the art is great and there's a story as well!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing that completely misses the chance to actually have the characters sound real, instead it feels like it's written by a 6yo. Levels themselves are ok but the bosses are awful, they still can't grasp that some attack patterns back to back are impossible to dodge. Camera needs to be pulled back as projectiles and attacks charging up offscreen suddenly materialize onscreen instantly with you needing to react that an attack was going to be coming, instead of reacting to one coming. Hitboxes are awful, level design is nothing, and the story felt like "ok now they're here" without a real explanation as to where they're going or why they're there, just "lol now we're in the facility"
2D platformer inspired by Sonic and Megaman X. Very good spritework and OST, but held back by uninspired level design and frankly baffling boss battles that are a huge difficulty spike considering what the levels themselves expect of you. The story didn't do anything for me but I applaud the effort. Solid 6/10; doesn't come close to the great 2D platformers of old it's so inspired by but it's a nice effort, considering it was the first outting of this developer (as far as I know).
