its spiderman what else i gotta say?
I love Spider-Man dude. You could give me the worst Spidey game ever but I'll probably get more enjoyment than most people out of it; I just love the character's design, powers, quips and the idea of swinging around. I absolutely loved the first MSM game on PS4, and I really enjoyed this game a ton too! But I can't deny it has some flaws in it's gameplay which really start to get more obvious the later into the game you get. This game looks great; as expected from a Sony exclusive, this is technically impressive in a lot of ways, the most notable for me being the fast travel; the way you literally instantly teleport to whatever part of Manhattan you fancy is a real piece of wizardry that I don't think I've ever seen other games pull off before. There are occasional technical hiccups most often in the game's cutscenes; usually minor things like flickering lights or windows acting strangely. I think this is just one of those many Sony PC port things that often pop up; they're not game ruining (especially as they only really happen in cutscenes) but they can be a bit immersion breaking I guess. Speaking of cutscenes, I wish this game didn't have so many missions where you just walk about as Miles and Peter pressing Y on things; as much as I did enjoy the story and the game, I hate how common this sort of thing is in these first party Sony titles; just make these moments cutscenes or at least cut them down a bit! I know some people have talked about some of the dialogue or story not being so good, but I'm honestly not really a good critic of stuff like that except when it's super blatant or egregious, so I thought most of the story here was fine! What is a bit of a double edged sword is the gameplay; please don't misinterpret this as I do think for the most part this game plays really well; the combat is often fun and satisfying, swinging around is always great fun, and I really enjoyed most of the stealth encounters too! And whilst I do think all of these elements are fun I didn't think they were quite deep enough to sustain my whole 100% 25 hour playtime. After a while, the combat starts getting a bit stale as your combos aren't that deep; either get an enemy into the air and wail on them til they're beat (which feels extremely OP most of the time), or hit them with the same 4 hit combo into web strike and repeat until they die. This combined with the absurd amount of special moves and gadgets makes combat feel pretty uninvolved once you're used to the shortcuts and controls makes most combat encounters so short and easy; you have 4 gadgets (all of which are crazy for crowd control) which all have 2 or more charges each, 4 special moves (which often do very heavy damage to 2+ enemies) and a special screen clear move (for Miles) or a powered up state (for Peter). After a while there were some encounters where I barely had to throw a punch; I could just throw a couple of gadgets out and all of the enemies would fall over! It's a shame because I want to be rewarded for levelling stuff up but I think the game just goes too far with this kind of thing and balance does become a huge problem. The web swinging is obviously always fairly fun, and I love the inclusion of the web wings for areas like Central Park which have always infamously been quite awkward to swing around, but the web wings feel so optimal to use about 80% of the time in the traversal just due to the speed it can give you that I ended up not swinging nearly as much as I wanted to, which is sad because I love swinging around!! I liked a lot of the stealth encounters in this game, but the introduction of the web line shooter again makes so many of them so trivial. I would have liked more of these encounters as it didn't feel like there were that many, and I'm sure they could have introduced some gimmick to stop the web line from working! Overall this is still a good open world action game that had a checklist enjoyer like me hooked for long sessions swinging around the lively city of Manhattan whilst doing side activities, stopping crimes and beating bad guys up. I find it fairly easy to recommend to most people, but I wouldn't call it a super deep or polished game especially if you're going for 100%. It is not always spectacular, but it does definitely have moments that are pretty amazing. 7/10
amazing
механика драки хз как им это удалось но скучнее чем в первой и второй части! сюжет интересный но если бы половину времени не занимали мисси с не красивой mj было бы еще интресней!
muito foda
spider man 2 feels like it had a good foundation but they never built anything from it. the 1st game felt so much more exciting and new, while this game does improve off of gameplay the story could not keep any sort of serious or believable character action. ill list them now 1. miles act with the trauma of his father passing and trying to keep coexistence with his real life and his spider man life. they use his college essay as a point where he cant keep up with finishing it on time because he too busy being spider man and trying to prove to his peers he able to keep up. but the game doesnt do a good job at this not even half way i forgot about that plot until the end 2.miles revenge plot could have been so good but they went with safe writing so miles never really goes into a dark place like letting lee to drown it feels weird because dialogue about lee really makes you feel like miles might actually do something equivalate to peters decent into the symbiote. but no just really unorganized lines that seem deep but not that deep or goes anywhere 3. i just have a huge problem with just general dialogue i just couldnt take it as seriously example "i didnt know there was a bear in these woods" maybe this is on part is just a accurate feeling if you were a villain listen to spider man but like wtf lol. the 1st two other games really felt better in the story department. 4.just a small nit pick but i feel like time in this game should be long peter should have had the suit for way longer because the idea he changes within like three days is just weak imo. 5. venom isnt really in the game it more of like harry in a venom costume. maybe that might be my disliking of what they have been using venom over the years but it just feels like hes not even there. i feel they missed the whole point of venom cause he has no relationship with any of the people he takes over just like a evil little skitzo voice that tell you to kill people. but thats just my view i think its fun but story isnt a good at all spider man story they should have pushed a way more darker themes like spider man 1s take with how the inner demons bombing new york. hopefully insomniac learns and focuses a little more on the story
great side quests, story is a lil iffy at points but overall its good, and the traversal is very smooth and is nice to speed through the city compared to the last games. made some tears fall too. overall a good 8.5/10 for me, i highly recommend if youve played both spiderman and miles morales
