Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a spectacular sequel that improves many aspects of the original game, even if it doesn't completely avoid the usual open-world superhero problems. Swinging through New York has never felt better. The Web Wings, improved movement, and deeper free-flow combat make simply playing as Spider-Man incredibly satisfying. Switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales also brings variety, while the story successfully explores their personal struggles and the responsibility of being a hero. However, Spider-Man 2 is not without flaws. Some parts of the story feel rushed, especially considering the number of major characters and plotlines introduced. The open world activities are improved compared to the first game, but they can still feel repetitive, and the game sometimes struggles to fully take advantage of its expanded scope. The biggest disappointment is that the planned DLC content was ultimately cancelled, leaving the feeling that this amazing universe still had more stories to tell... Despite these points, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 remains one of the best superhero games ever made. It is not a perfect sequel, but it delivers an incredible fantasy: feeling like Spider-Man, moving through a living New York, and experiencing a cinematic superhero adventure. If you enjoyed the first game or Miles Morales, this is an easy recommendation. Just be prepared for a few cracks in the suit.

The story is fantastic up until the third act. Then it's kinda terrible. They try to fit the black suit, the first appearance of Venom, and the planet of the symbiotes in one game and everything with venom feels SUPER rushed. I will say, though that the side-quests and most of the story is incredibly fun. I love this game, it's just not perfect.

[h1]Spider-Man 2 is a Woke Mess[/h1] This game feels like it was designed to tick every modern diversity checkbox instead of focusing on telling the best story possible. You're forced to play as Mary Jane Watson in stealth and shooting sections that feel like they belong in a Call of Duty game rather than a Spider-Man title. The game constantly inserts diversity-focused moments that come across as forced rather than natural. Even side characters who contribute little to the plot are repeatedly pushed into conversations simply for the sake of representation. Individually these moments may seem minor, but together they make the experience feel more like an HR diversity seminar than an engaging superhero adventure. The game does have some genuinely great moments, but most of them happen during the cinematic set pieces. The boss fights are often frustrating damage sponges that drag on far longer than they should. Combat is largely unchanged from the first game aside from a handful of new abilities. The suits are excellent, but the open world is once again packed with repetitive activities that exist mainly to pad out playtime. Overall, [b]I am extremely disappointed with Spider-Man 2.[/b] The game's constant focus on messaging and forced representation completely disrupts the pacing and weakens what could have been a much stronger story. If you're looking for a compelling Spider-Man experience, I'd recommend skipping this one.

a disaster with performance and optimization, wish they properly optimized it like the first game, i tried this with 2 different PCs one weaker than my current, performance is pretty poor and devs were quite lazy with it.
