About
Every run starts with you alone.
As you move across the map, choose a route that leads to valuable loot. Along the way, you will meet companions who will help you fight this difficult battle!
You need to collect a separate set of equipment for the hero and each companion.
Items do not have fixed slots. You can rotate them and place them in the inventory as long as there is free space.
Items become truly powerful when they start affecting one another. Some items have auras that strengthen weapons or armor in adjacent cells.
Sometimes moving an item by a single cell is enough to change the entire build.
In combat, you control only the main hero.
Companions act on their own. They already know what to do...
At the end of each biome, you choose one of two boss parts.
Each part changes the Guardian's appearance and power. After completing all biomes, you will have to face the final boss.
Some rewards in Lootbound cannot be obtained just like that.
In special rooms, you are offered several options with different difficulty levels. The more valuable the reward, the harder it is to obtain with a dice roll.

Reviews
I am writing this review after completing the game three times across all difficulty levels (including Warrior mode). The pixel art style and animation effects are excellent. The inventory management mechanics are engaging, offering a fun, puzzle-like experience. I can sense the passion the development team poured into this title and hope the game continues to receive updates in the future. However, I feel Lootbound still lacks that special something needed to create truly addictive appeal and high replayability. Here are a few suggestions: - The game currently lacks narrative depth; although characters have dialogue during camp events, they feel somewhat bland and underdeveloped. The game would be more compelling if these events offered choices—such as increasing or decreasing the bond between companions. These choices could unlock combo skills or alter character moods (e.g., a bad mood weakening skills for 1–2 battles), with outcomes determined by dice rolls. - In my opinion, Lootbound is missing the most crucial element of an inventory management game: the ability to customize inventory slots during gameplay (such as purchasing or collecting additional slots). The absence of this feature diminishes the game's overall appeal and excitement. - The game should feature "relic" items—common in many roguelike — that players can collect by defeating elite enemies and bosses. These relics could be combined with armor or weapons to trigger special effects without occupying standard inventory slots. -Regarding the dice-rolling mechanic, the game should incorporate bonus points for roll results based on the main character's stats. For example, if I am playing as a Warrior and have an armor stat of 100/200, I could receive a +1 or +2 bonus to the dice roll result. Ultimately, in its current state, Lootbound offers a very enjoyable experience, but it still requires further updates to become more polished.

Picked this up almost on a whim and got exactly what I love about roguelites: every run tells its own story. You start out completely alone, and by the end you're leading a party you pieced together yourself. 🗡️ What won me over: ⚔️ Turn-based combat that actually makes you think — and half the real decisions happen on the map, when you're picking your route 🎒 Loot isn't just "bigger numbers," it's a toolkit: auras, synergies, different damage types (armor pen, exhaustion, direct). Stumbling into a combo that suddenly clicks is its own kind of high 🔥 🎲 The dice rolls keep you honest. Greed gets punished, as it should 🖤 Dark fantasy art and atmosphere — genuinely nice to look at 🔁 Real replayability: builds actually differ, it's not the same three perks every time Honest downsides: the balance bites in places, bosses especially, and RNG can sometimes decide a run for you. But patches are coming and the devs clearly listen to the community. If you like Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, or just fiddling with inventories — don't overthink it. 👍 Solid recommend from me.
For a reason I can't explain myself, I really want to like this game, but I can't. The game promises you deep gameplay with endless replayability, but never delivers it. Looting chests with D20 rolls is actually fun, and even more fun is playing with your inventory in an attempt to build the best possible combo ever. The problem is that after a few runs it feels like you've seen it all. The same items, the same few variations of enemies, and dull phrases at campfires. You can't build anything unique for your character every run. There are 1-2 builds the devs prepared for each character, and you end up building one of these every run. Regular/Elite fights do not require putting much thought into it. Depending on RNG, you either basic-attack through every encounter or are annihilated without having the tools to overcome it. Same goes for the final boss -- there is no tactical gameplay, you just put your RNG and inventory-building skills against the boss, and a few more RNG rolls (evasion, crits) decide the outcome. At the start the game lures you in with meta-progression and a ton of unlockable buildings, but most of them are just lorebooks, and 4-6 runs per character is enough to unlock everything for them. I can't recommend the game, and I can't imagine how a few balance patches could fix the gameplay, but I want to wish the devs the best of luck. Maybe they'll manage to improve Lootbound, or their next title will be the desired step forward.
This is a fine game but i find the backpack system to be a bit too fiddly for my liking. I would also like to see more combo's between the characters than what I have done with my few runs. Again it is a fine game just not quite my style.
Lootbound is a fun and addictive game with great visuals, exciting gameplay, and satisfying progression. Highly recommended!
A good bagel with an unusual inventory and well‑thought‑out mechanics; it’s interesting to build characters around auras. I recommend
Absolute cinema <3 this game was really fun & creative
Not yet, needs more content, more variety and more interesting combat.
I agree with alot of the negative criticism but i don't see them as problems that cannot be overcome. If you can overlook some of the shortcommings and imperfections then i think this game is amazing. This game is a well executed creature managment meets backpack battles meets slay the spire like ,but in a creative dark beautiful art setting. The gameplay revolves around building inventory and a team of companions each one of your companions has their own strenghts and abilties that can compliment your playstyle. If you play damage you can make your companion a tank or healer and vice versa. While most games imo would start slacking and give the companions automatic stats and no variety this one delivers. Feels to me the developer gets it and didnt want to make a copy paste gimmicky game. So i agree some more mechanics etc would be nice but fundementally i think the game deserves praise.
