About
Build and command your fully customizable army of Dwarves in this medieval fantasy mix of RPGs, roguelikes and auto battlers! Prepare formations, assign roles, and lead your group through dangerous encounters like a raid leader planning the next pull. Decide the fate of up to 10 individual Beardlings as they chase Glory, risk Death, and fight for humongous amounts of Loot!

Your run starts small, with only two poorly equipped Dwarves and limited options. Battle by battle, you expand your group, upgrade gear, and refine your setup - slowly turning a fragile party into a full-fledged legion ready to take on increasingly dangerous encounters!
Every Dwarf can be shaped into a distinct party-member through gear and equipment. Build sturdy frontline tanks to hold the line, deadly damage dealers to tear through enemies with meele combat, or fragile but powerful mages that need protection. Only a well-balanced group will survive once the fight begins.

Battles play out automatically, so the real challenge happens before the fight begins. Choose the right formation and position for your Dwarves as you are preparing for specific enemy threats, often deciding the outcome long before the first blow is struck.

After each battle, you choose how to proceed. Gain experience, invest gold into better equipment, or recruit new Dwarves to strengthen your group. Every choice pushes your run in a different direction, and not every path leads to survival.
Unlock permanent upgrades with Gems and strengthen your company for future runs with completely different playstyles and builds.

As your party grows stronger, enemies become more numerous and more dangerous. Different enemy setups demand different answers. Reinforce your frontline against heavy pressure or disrupt dangerous backline threats before they overwhelm your group, you make the call.
Facing different enemy configurations, adjust your legion's equipment and positions in a timely manner. Increase your frontline defenses if the enemy is launching a lot of assaults. If the enemy has numerous mages, focus on disrupting their backline. Only with correct tactics can you increase your chances of winning.
Simply stacking stats is rarely enough. Learning enemy patterns, adjusting formations, and refining your group composition are key to surviving tougher encounters. Each run teaches you something and rewards those who adapt. Build your group, prepare for the next encounter, accept losses, and push your Dwarves as far as they can go in the pursuit of Glory, Death, and Loot!

cool game and all but kinda mid
5/10 early game is fun. Gem collection for upgrades is out of control. at least 6 tiers 1 gem for each, takes 4 gems of previous level to make next level and 3 gems to upgrade....totally out of control scaling. They have special units that you need around 70 fights in....can't make them. Spent hours doing everything making sure the dwarf has the right base stats. Literally purchased on with 11 st 10 intel for the scythe. Still would not equip and said I did not have the 10 intel wtf. Game is one of those never finished games. they can't or won't fix it. Getting pretty sick of this from supposed early access games.
No updates in over 4 months, boring and not keeping me interested. If you play one game that's basically the game.
Satisfyingly layered strategy game. Worth your money
This game promises Dwarves, Glory, Death and Loot. I can confidently say after 20+ hours, this game delivered on all that and then some.

Deep, lots of interesting ways to build your troop. I'd like to see more varied ways to grow the troop through a run, right now it feels like most of the "buildcraft" happens prior to a run and then you attempt to execute. It'd be fun to see leaning into the randomness of the run as a focused form of "buildcraft" in its own right!
This is the best game ever made :)
The best game of it's calibur. Don't let the graphics deter you, it's beautifully fun and 100% worth the price tag. I'd say it's worth even more.
The game is repetitive and boring. Like everything is boring. Stats are boring, items are boring, artifacts are giga-boring, classes are boring, battles are boring, passive tree is boring, dwarves are boring. 98% of the time you see the same items and click through the same battles. Occasionally you can find something cool. But it is ultimately meaningless because you have to grind mindlessly to get a shot at progressing to a rewarding level. And when your party is wiped you have to redo everything again with the same faceless recruits and boring items. I regret buying and playing it.
