Blood and Gold: Caribbean!

Купил это только из-за крутого видео у одного из ютуберов. Заранее знал все минусы игры, но всё равно это жуть. 1 Задания на суше держатся на костылях. Шаг влево, шаг вправо - смэрт. 2. Очень глупенький ИИ. Особенно в морских боях. Как будто он либо идёт на абордаж, либо ждёт пока его возьмут. 3. До ужаса сырые НПС. При разговоре - исчезают. Даже нельзя спросить где находится какой то лорд. Ищи сам. А у некоторых диалогов вообще нет. 4. Скучные морские бои. Опять же, 2 типа поведения и всё. 5. Неудобные бои на суше. Даже нельзя нормально поставить войска где тебе надо. 6. Сломанные хитбоксы. Прилетит даже от противника, стоящего к тебе спиной ( и хорошо если это не стрелок) 7. Бесячие карточные игры. Сил на них уже нет. Из хорошего разве что квесты. Если не считать постоянные выходы из локации - очень даже ничего. Вообщем да. Сильно на любителя. 4/10

great fun game its like sid meier pirates and mount and blade combined into one

When this game first came out, I thought it was just a Mount and Blade ripoff set in the Caribbean with pirates, which seemed like a cool idea at the time. However, as I continued to play it repeatedly, I realized it was much more detailed and complex than I initially imagined. By today’s standards, the gameplay, mechanics, and graphics are quite simple and can feel outdated, especially at higher settings. Nonetheless, what I love about this game is how it immerses you in the Caribbean during the 1600s, the era of the buccaneers. I truly appreciate this because I don’t believe any other game has managed to bring the player into this specific period of history effectively. While the story is lackluster, the game has a certain charm that allows me to overlook that aspect. The most impressive feature of the game, and what keeps me coming back, is the naval battles. They are difficult to master but easy to learn. You genuinely feel the need for bigger or faster ships to outmaneuver your opponents. It’s always exciting when you finally manage to get close enough to board an enemy ship and seize it for yourself, allowing you to sell it for much-needed coin. I can definitely recommend this game. If you’re looking for a solid attempt at depicting life in the Caribbean during the age of piracy, complete with ship-to-ship combat, then you won’t find a better game than Blood and Gold.

I can't say I recommend this game. I have had plenty of fun with it though. I got it on sale for two doĺlars. It quite frequently hits that price point if anyone is interested. But be warned, the dev has abandoned this game, it is broken, and there's a constant of starting over from scratch just because you lost one battle. And escaping isn't even worth it, you might as well start a new save. If you think you can ignore all the frustrations of this for a while it might be worth the two bucks I paid for it. But the game is unfinished and broken. Impossible to get past certain hurdles as well. A shame this game wasn't better than it is. We have a lack of good pirate games, and the M&B style gameplay would have been perfect for this. Sad we'll probably never get another game like this that actually finishes development and turns out to be good. 4/10

I cannot play or run this game after the first 20 hours. It is an awesome game I just wish I could still play it I've tried everything and have not bee able to get it to launch.

After playing this for more than 100 hours i now understand why it has mixed reviews and why it gets a lot of hate from M&B fans. I should have listened when they warned me not to bother with this. It's a glorified mod sold as a game and it tries to do and be a lot of things on a super old engine but it ends up being the definition of mediocrity. I'll just say this: If you want to play something similar to Pirates! just play Pirates! and it's mods and if you want to play something similar to Warband just play Warband and it's actual good overhauls.

В декабре у игры юбилей,, стоит оставить своё ИМХО. Субъективно это лучшая игра про пиратов, жаль, что не реализована до конца.
