Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

1st. I would like to state I played this on the steam deck. The storyline of the is game to me was good. Plenty of twists and turns. The game allows you to get to know more Kazuma in past games which shows his character in more depth. If you are to play this game, I recommend you use a controller style set up due needing to press buttons to get aa higher damage points. Found it a bit odd to show many recurring characters appearing Hawaii, but I still enjoyed seeing them. Only thing that I found annoying is when you aren't able to switch ichiban and Kazuma later on when your controlling Kazuma directly in his chapters.
Great sequel to the previous Like a Dragon 7 ! A much polished gameplay and much more contents to do. Though I have a great time with this game, I personally think the main story especially in Hawaii is not as great and intriguing as in Like a Dragon 7. Main antagonist is aight at best not as menacing and interesting as the previous game. Also pretty sad that they only implement new game plus if u buy the dlc. Aside these, everything was great, gameplay , minigames and characters stories are all great. Definitely worth ur time playing if u are looking forward for a long hours rpg game.

story is all over the place but this game is awesome shed like one tear
Great game and cool story, especially the island minigame. However the RPG part ruins it again, by making you have to grind dungeons etc to be able to progress in the story. The game doesn't award skill but the amount of time you spend playing it, like in previous Yakuza games.
For example Ebina fight is literally impossible if you're too small leveled, since he will almost one shot you and your companions and of course Ebina gets to attack you and your teammates many times, skip rounds and make you asleep with each attack. And since getting there is a hassle, you probably will have used many items to get there. And of course the game doesn't let you get out to grind and or buy items, but you have to undo all of your progress, which is so so infuriating. In the previous games you could at least cheese with skill, but thanks to the RPG element, you can't.
Not cool guys, not cool. I would not recommend but the other parts of the games are too good not to
