Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

It's more of the same, in a good way.
BANGER!
系统比7代成熟一些,春日还是很圣母,新队友入队方式都差不多。另外,喜欢大酒瓶子的人有福了
A major improvement in game-play but nowhere near as good of a story. First, I'll go over the game-play; the game-play in Infinite Wealth has a few, although major additions that enhance the experience quite a bit. Infinite Wealth's turn-based combat feels way more engaging due to the addition of combo attacks, back attacks, and knock-back; these features add a slight bit more strategy to combat. I did surprisingly enjoy Like A Dragon's combat, but I prefer how the updated combat in Infinite Wealth makes things feel more fast paced. Also, I appreciate how all the jobs feel pretty balanced overall; in LAD a few jobs were kind of useless, but now you can choose whatever you like the most. However, I didn't really like the extra grinding you had to do for both teams near the end; it feels like gameplay padding. In conclusion, for someone who doesn't really enjoy turn based combat that much, I enjoyed IW's a decent bit. Still, I miss brawler combat because I hate how out of my control certain things feel. It also just doesn't have that cool, brutal factor of brawler combat. Moving on, the story is amazing, but it felt kind of random to me. I definitely enjoyed the new characters, and I think they all had good character development (especially Chitose & Tomizawa). The overall plot was definitely pretty interesting however the whole Palekana storing nuclear waste on the island felt kind of random. In addition, I thought the antagonists had a good amount of potential, but Ebina doesn't really get much time to shine (his speech in the final chapter was great through). I really like what Kiryu & his character development brought to the story, but he did kind of take attention away from Ichiban (hopefully this is Kiryu's last game, he's an amazing character, but Ichiban is the new protagonist now). I also really like the impression Ichiban leaves on his friends & just how important the concept of friendship is in LAD & IW. To conclude, the story felt way too goofy and drawn ought, but I did enjoy it. However, this game does have some technical issues. On unlimited FPS it would just close out after like an hour of playing. I also just think the game is super ugly in the day. Hawaii just feels super washed out and flat. Yakuza games never looked that good in the day, but Hawaii in this game just feels so cheap looking. Still, indoor, sunset, and night scenes look amazing.
Super recomendo.
not sure how the story managed to start so well and end so poorly, still decent, but i hope the next one has better writing
mechanics are improved significantly, but story and emotional impact took a nosedive
really nice
