A fun tactical game, in the vein of XCOM 2, I really enjoyed it. Tight tactical gameplay, fun characters.
Was afraid to buy it, afraid it would ruin nostalgia. Honestly though the developers did great, they stuck really close to the original game and it shows. The game is great, really well polished but with the mechanics of old that made the game so loved in the past. Only thing i am missing is some real cheap trash characters, it would be fun if they added some really cheap cannon fodder that you could train up over time. Also slightly missing the blood and gore the original game had, this seemed a bit too friendly but that might change if i get the bigger guns later in game. So far my experience is very positive though, my hats off to the developers.
Cool tactics game, can recommend.
Ei met Ui. Goeie Saus dus.
Unfortunately, there is a bug with enemys stucked out of the map and you are not able to finish the fights. Cheat mod is disabled and there is no chance to fix it, beside starting a new game an hoping it works. Thanks for 22 hours of my life wasted
Had as much fun as back in the day with Jagged Alliance 2. Pros: - You get a lot of game for the buck - Full Playthrough with every little bits and bots was about 100h - Mods make it a lot of fun: Added a few mercs I was missing from back in the day. Fixed some balancing. More weapons and settings for inventory size, recoil, etc. Really worth it. - It is quite a challenging game by default - You have different options of playstyles with different mercs - Fun dialogs and characters and surprisingly decent voice acting - Strategic planning how to succeed in a sector/combat is fun - Tons of sidequests - Exploration is rewarded - Map variety Cons: - I think the out of the box version needed some tweaking to make it fun. I think the minimum was inventory size and settings config mods to have more granular settings. - I think when you reached a milestone of being sufficiently liquid with money the game gets nearly too easy - Sometimes repetitive in quests or combats (at least you can skip combats at times) - I did have quite a few crashes I didnt expect but it might also be all the mods If you love turn-based combat games with a bit of TTRPF elements you can definitely find fun here. I certainly had a lot of fun and relieved memories of JA2. Highly recommend this game.
хороший динамичный процесс игры
I had pretty high expectations for this game, because Jagged Alliance 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm pleased to say that Jagged Alliance 3 is a worthy, if imperfect, successor. The core turn-based combat gameplay is very fun, and much more accessible than JA2. It has all the interface and engine improvements that one would expect in a modern turn-based tactics game. Mercenaries have unique perks and abilities -- and can level up to gain more -- which greatly expands the tactical possibilities. The overworld strategy and resource management layer is also fun and reminiscent of JA2. There are a few weird constraints like not being able to train multiple stats in one sector. The system of crafting attachments per weapon, rather than attachments being items, is also a bit odd. For the most part, the mercenary characters of JA3 are just not quite as fun, unique, and well-written as JA2. There was something uniquely loveable about the JA2 characters, that JA3 doesn't quite capture. It often felt like JA3 was... trying too hard, I guess, to emulate that old magic. Some of the dialogue is kind of cringe-worthy and a bit too self-aware. There are also too many side quests, and several aspects of the main quest don't make a lot of sense. All that being said, at its core, Jagged Alliance 3 offers a solid, fun, and engaging turn-based strategy experience for fans of Jagged Alliance, X-COM, and other such series.
