Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11/day in the week to Aug 14 → 18.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Reviews
Ah, so this is what everybody's been trying to copy for 10 years. Apparently War of the Chosen is the full game, base game is the same campaign with less content. Plays great on Steam Deck.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
in another effort to review every video game that has helped distract me from the crushing weight of my own mortality and the unavoidable horrors of the human condition: i'd give this game an 8.4/10 with the footnote: legendary ironman run got softlocked bc a ufo attacked me and i only had like 5 dudes alive. potentially could be in the top 10 games i've ever played, but instead my life sucks and i hate everything
This is still the best of it's kind. I think I still have some kind of PTSD from this game, you get attached to these stupid soldiers then watching them get mutoided to death is so painful. I think actually the most underrated feature of this game is the Bar/Memorial. I don't know who came up with that but they are a genius. I loved leaving heartfelt messages to my best soldiers who died. But also, if a soldier panicked and did something stupid, I really enjoyed insulting their memory with a critical epitaph. Anyway... one day... X Com 3 <3
Viper women from XCOM are hot.
i have tried many times to like this game as i played the older ones on hard and enjoyed it. But this style of rushing you all the time is not fun but just simply fustrating. no time to just enjoy the game. i have a life i use games to unwine not causing me to have a heart attack. remember before fan boys say anything i did like and played the other games on hard and it was fun. what a reversal of this franchise. even with mods it still does not make the game fun and on easy. The first game where even on easy is not giving you time to understand the game play so maybe you can replay on harder difficulties. really research this game before you buy it. I bought the game and all dlc.s and i will never play it.
JOHN XCOM’S LEGENDARY GUIDE LISTEN UP, MAGGOTS! John XCOM here. You want 4 soldiers, Legendary difficulty, zero deaths, before July? Here’s what the game won’t tell you: Legendary will humble you! 70% is basically a coin toss. XCOM maths. One misclick = funeral. Congratulations, Commander. You WILL leave people behind. It's called tactical retirement. AP Ammo > Bluescreen. Don't ask questions. Just accept it. You are NOT special. That soldier you spent 20 minutes customising? first to be headshot next mission. Gatecrasher is the hardest mission. Nothing like losing the campaign before you've even made it to the ship. Stun Lancers are annoying. MECs are the actual a55 collectors. Never trust the percentages. XCOM has a personal vendetta against mathematics. Never dash into unexplored territory. That's not movement. That's pod roulette. Flanking sounds great until the flank activates another pod. Congratulations, you've flanked yourself. You will spend more time looking for the Skyranger on the overview map than I care to say. Turn off the DLC. Nobody has time for the Chosen or Rulers Grenades don't miss Central: “Commander, we need to—” CENTRAL, I am on my 57th run, SIT DOWN — John XCOM
Extremely fun engine but the never ending pop ups giving you information, missions, and timers are overwhelming and annoying.
