So, on second though, no, this game is too rough to be called good. Too RNG dependent and far too grindy. No one wants to play any level 10 times to progress let alone many levels. Sorry. there is an honest effort here, but making a game longer without making it enjoyable is the wrong tradeoff.
This game has a lot going for it, but the interfaces both in fights and the home base management is clunky and chaotic, and I have to agree with other reviewers that it feels grindy - endlessly repeating earlier levels with the same mobs over and over is just a time and fun killer.
Gets right to business. No fluff here. Get task, complete task, rearm and refit, upgrade squad members, upgrade camp, check board for side quests, check map, repeat. No walking simulator. Fully respects your time and is fun. Recommend.
we need Chinese!!!!
Game is fun and challenging. Late game feels easier tho when you are fully upgraded, when the challenges are a new breath. But It could reward better loot on challenges IMHO Also, the dev does quickly answer. This alone for me is a reason to recommend Good bang for your buck :)
Fun little party based RPG. I wish it had map generation or more maps and campaign stages. Edit: changed to thumbs down after experiencing the "all enemies gain triple health and full heal" event card on harder difficulty. that ♥♥♥♥ is so stupid lol. Was thumbs up after playthru on normal but instant Uninstall & change to thumbs down after that.
A well made game with elements of several genres. A tasty genre soup. A bit of deckbuilding, a bit of RPG, a bit of looter-shooter, a bit of strategy, add herbs, simmer and stir. The devs have combined the ingredients very well. The mixture gives the game a good degree of replayability. I've played the main campaign 6 times and it had a good combination of difference and familiarity each time because of changes I chose for character classes, equipment, challenge constraints (e.g. one of the challenge modes restricts you to 1 character instead of the usual 5). Well worth the money.
I love playing this game, but there's no wat to clear out recruits that you don't want and try again. Good, but there is room for improvement.
If you think you might like this game then you'll like it. Leave your expectations at the door and love the game for what is. Enjoy!
