Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 29 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Kind of boring. A lot of waiting around gathering and processing resources. Entropic elements feel very contrived and consist almost exclusively of the hull constantly degrading and accidents occurring. The rate of decay and frequency of accident occurrence are both so high that it completely breaks the suspension of disbelief. There are some morale and stability mechanics too, but so far, 6.5 hours in, they're not a factor. I really wanted to like this game, but have to rate it a solid 'meh'. It has some good elements, but there are far better games out there. Will probably try at least one more session and might update or at least add more detail. Another thing I found challenging to believe is that they spent all this effort building a giant mobile space station, but had no plans for the interior layout? There are these insects farms, but no inputs to the farms...what exactly are the insects eating? Waste is being purged? Into space? That's a lot of mass that could probably be used for something else...there is eventually a recycling plant of sorts but it takes a lot of research to get there. There's a lot of things like this that just seem to violate basic space engineering concepts. The probe situation is pretty boring too. I don't want to spend half an hour moving my pointer around to figure out where to send the probe...and how about a confirmation popup? Several times I accidentally clicked and deployed a probe to the wrong location. The resource collection algorithm is broken, have the silicon resource on high priority on the map and on the shuttles for collection, but they don't collect it. Can't build electronics. There is some good stuff too, don't get me wrong, it's a decent game, just overrated and not always well thought out. Beautiful graphics. Building space is an extremely limited resource and figuring out how to lay out your city in a bottle is and interesting and sometimes frustrating exercise in optimization. Personnel management is a little clunky...and what exactly are non-workers doing? Can I put the useless eaters back in cryostasis? Oh wait this was supposed to be the good parts...oh well.

its a slog to get through, the difficulty on normal makes it so you either need to be a genius or the luckiest city builder around, slow and steady isn't an option even though the gameplay loop actively trys to death spiral you, cant finish. the vibes ok enough, next time design a gameplay loop that actually gives the players options. like dude it makes no sense to add a penalty to staying in a system when you also get punished for leaving a system. ♥♥♥♥ the crew, and ♥♥♥♥ the gameplay loop dear god i wish i had my money back
I want to preface this by saying this: I typically don't enjoy city-building games. With that out of the way, the review: IXION is a city-building game through and through, with some extra systems attached to give it the science fiction coat of paint (i.e planet exploration). There are plenty of standard sci-fi themes here as well if you're willing to read flavor text and sit and have a think while you're waiting for various events. It's a little on the nose in some places with, for lack of a better word, the "final boss", being heavily implied to be a caricature of a tech-billionaire, which isn't inherently a bad thing, and I do like the way it's presented. The overarching goal of IXION never really changes: you MUST find a new home for humanity, and you will need to Make Decisions that Matter. To be frank, the game is quite linear in it's storytelling, with admittedly little replay value outside of achievement hunting because events have no randomization and outside of small things like people dying or exactly how much resource you get, your decisions really don't matter all that much. The soundtrack does a fantastic job setting the mood as well Despite that, I found myself much more attached to the people living in my space station than I ever have been to citizens in other city builders, like SimCity. By the end of my first play-through, I had a final death rate of ~2%, but I cared a lot more about each death, each industrial accident adding to the body count. Part of that is absolutely influenced by the scale IXION is working on, with there being a good chance your final population probably hovering around 5-6 thousand. I played on normal difficulty and I mostly stayed away from wikis and threads, and I will admit I was a little surprised that it felt rather forgiving given the pitch. The first two chapters are far and away the hardest in my opinion as you scramble to get your bearings and refine your approach, and the latter half is basically a time sink if you put literally any amount of thought into your planning. There's a specialization system that feels intended to reward you for building your sectors to do one thing, but for the most part I ignored it, aside from dedicating one sector to waste processing simply because those buildings are very large and it was more economical to build 8 of them in one place rather than spreading them out. There are at least two endings to the game, but really it's a red/blue situation, with one focusing on liberating yourself from the chains of a mega-corp or simply doing what you are told. Near as I can tell it literally doesn't matter, with no real incentive to go one way or the other. Flip a coin, there's not really any way to lock yourself out unless you left the game running by accident while you went to the store or what-have-you. I took my time with this one. There being on-paper penalties for staying in one place for too long, but as long as you aren't overworking your workers or expanding too fast, the penalties are quite literally a non-issue, and there's plenty of leeway for messing up if you don't rush through the first couple of chapters. Take your time, make sure you gather up everything you can, and I have no doubt you'll be able to weather any challenge.
IXION has a lot of things going for it. It looks beautiful, the city-building is engaging and has interesting decisions to make, the system discovery and exploitation is fun, the story is reasonably interesting. A few annoying interface/QOL issues that will never be fixed. But ultimately, I can't recommend the game because the fundamental game design, from somewhere very early in the design process, is designed around two incompatible pillars: 1) you must replay the game a lot, with multiple playthroughs and/or savescumming, to be at all successful 2) you spend most of the game waiting. The replay mechanics are most obvious in the research events, which are completely static decision trees that can have either very good or very bad effects, and the only way to really know is to try them and then try differently next time. But there's also a lot of scripted events that you'll want to plan ahead for, and even building placement has an element of learn-and-retry because you can't move buildings and rebuilding them is slow. And when I say that you spend a lot of time waiting, I mean full hands-off-keyboard while the game runs at the max 3x speed, which you'll never leave unless you want to watch an environmental animation at 1x speed. If the game had a 10x speed I'd use it for most of the game. What this boils down to is that you simply cannot avoid spending a lot of time sitting and waiting for the game to run out some timer for the fifth time so you can fix some error or another. And that's simply not fun. If a full playthrough of the game took, like, three hours I think the retry factor would be fine, but I'm guessing a full run is at least 10 hours and that's just not happening.
Good Job Administrator
I'm not too familiar with city builders as a genre, but IXION manages to tell a compelling story of exploration and survival, full of tense moments and uncertainty, while maintaining a solid city / space station simulation. It's not perfect, there have been a few bugs and glitches I encountered, but even so it is well worth playing. Just make sure you save regularly and don't play until 3am if you can help it.
This review is not easy to write. Why? Because I really liked the concept to this game, and the story beats and they felt different. I would recommend it for this reason, and also the fact that you can change the difficulty of things. I don't know if it's just personally experience or what, but this game was very stressful to me on normal default settings that eventually I just had to lower it because it was too much micromanaging for me to keep up with, and I play Hearts of Iron. This game had a lot of issues with it that really bothered me, especially the last chapter. I won't spoil anything, but I had to reattempt the last chapter multiple times. Overall, I thought that the music, the environment, and the space jumping really kept me hooked. Hopefully the team behind this game will make other games around this IP, not necessarily the same genre, but more like it. Maybe the next game could be the colonists building their lives on the new planet. None of the issues presented in my review take away from this game, it delivers.
