You run a disaster recovery company, specialized in restoring sites devastated by natural disasters. Numerous tasks await you and your heavy machinery as you work to restart the local industry: clearing debris, replacing faulty equipment, rebuilding roads and bridges damaged by bad weather, deploying resource convoys to produce new reconstruction materials, and much more!

Experience a new generation of simulation with the brand new engine developed by Saber Interactive, the creators of MudRunner and SnowRunner. Handle each object with realistic physics, accounting for their mass and size. Interact with elements like sand, wood, and asphalt. Reshape the terrain and ease the movement of your vehicles thanks to your newly-built roads.

Each machine has its own behavior. Use your bulldozer to clear obstructions, your heavy transporter to carry multiple vehicles, or your fixed or gantry cranes to lift containers and equipment. Reconnect a factory to the power grid with your cable layer, lay down hot asphalt with your paver, and flatten it with your roller to create your own roads. Unlock over 40 vehicles as you progress through the story-driven campaign. Visit your garage to customize your machines with your company’s logo and repaint them with your personalized colors.

This is a trash game hastily put out so that Saber can make a quick buck. I so badly wanted to like it and waited a year to buy it hoping some of the initial review feedback would be addressed... It hasn't been. Want to use a steering wheel in a driving game? Get bent - the entire system is abysmal and your steering wheel will randomly lock up. 0 support for the gearbox and they couldn't even implement a legacy control scheme correctly. And to be clear, it's not much better on controller either. Want to build wide roads? Get bent - you lay out your wide sand, you grade it, you painstakingly go over it with the asphalt truck that gets stuck on every single thing (even though it's on crawlers), and then as soon as you roll it all your work disappears and you get the equivalent of a bike path. FFS the name of the game is ROADcraft and you can't even build a decent ROAD. Skip this game. It's a huge miss and frankly is insulting at the price point it's listed for (even on sale).
Jesus Christ, for over a year, they've had this one bug that breaks the whole game on multiplayer and they haven't fixed it. What sucks is i spend HOURS playing with my dad and all of a sudden ALL of the pavement disappeared and come to find out, so many others are having this issue for OVER A YEAR! But guess what, let's put out fifty updates that add useless machinery and a bunch of content updates for our other games cause screw our fan base. this game and it's dev's suck. NO NOT BUY. BTW, the dev's said they were aware about half a year ago so this isn't a niche thing. And if you have a wheel you can say goodbye to this game also, there's no way to bind camera movement and the game likes to over what device to use. i can't tell you how many times i ran off of a cliff because my wheel decided to lose input and go full throttle all because i wanted to look around.
Man.... This is such a great game but I can't recommend it for a SINGLE reason which is crazy because I can live with weird bugs and crashes but what I cant live without is the VERY reason I bought this game and that's multiplayer. If you plan on playing solo the game has been great and stable for me offline. The moment you take it online the game has a software limit for multiple player terrain what this means is when you host a game and start putting down sand or doing anything that messes with the terrain like bridges, sand, objects the host has a hard 2mb limit once you get to that limit your friends that are connected will fall out of sync and any progress will not appear for them. Now before you go oh well thats going to get fixed I will buy it and wait. This has been a known reported bug for over a year and has yet to be resolved.
Fun game, challenging but not too hard. Glad to see they are updating content as they go too!
Its great. The physics and graphical fidelity genuinely surprised me. It does a decent job at striking a balance between granular simulation and toyish physics fun. I do wish it was a little bit more of a sandbox than it is currently but it does have its moments
I was really excited to play this game but ended up getting a refund when I realized it wasn't what I had hoped for. I have about an hour of gameplay and here's why I requested a refund: * Vehicles consume gas insanely fast. I wanted to play this more like a sim so had fuel consumption enabled. However, during one of the first missions while searching for a generator I ran out of gas when I got to it so had to go back and refuel. I ended up refilling my truck three times just to go get a generator. Terrible. * Just look up the generator mission and you'll see plenty of people complaining about this. I was hoping this to be mostly realistic but right out the gate you're playing a mission where you're running your truck into wooden walls to make bridges to get to a generator that you bump around with your truck then drag back to your base. * Route vehicles are aggressive and run into you. Why? They're capable of honking the horn so they know you're there, seems like an odd choice and breaks the immersion. All of this, plus some mechanical/movement things, combine to the ultimate reason I asked for a refund and can't recommend the game. It breaks immersion by making things artificially more difficult instead of allowing the environment you're working in to be the difficulty. This should be PVE, not Player vs Developer.
wish I never bought this game, the more I play the game, the more I hate the bugs and how artificially limited your options become for tackling objectives. Not being able to cut down some of the larger tree's is infuriating, they aren't even just too big for equipment. Devs made the excuse that making them able to be cutdown would cause instability only to later retract that statement and say that its because they feared it would make the game too easy. Sometimes laying sand down is weird and you have bumps that stick out and cant be leveled unless you pour more sand over it and this presents other issues. Overall its just a half assed game that seems like a recycle of a bunch assets already in other games.
WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED THEY DO AND UPDATE AND THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME WONT LOAD! This game is ran by total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, any time they make the slightest change it just breaks the game and then takes them months to fix just for them to push and update shortly after just to break the game again!
The road, water, and many other textures are incredibly blurry. Even after switching the rendering settings to Quality, nothing changed—they're still blurry. I don't believe this is caused by my PC, since I can run SnowRunner on the same system at a stable 60 FPS with crisp HD textures and no problems whatsoever. This game clearly has optimization or rendering issues. Time to refund.
Somehow its frustration and relaxing at the same time. The controls are terrible, and the missions can be cryptic, but I keep coming back. It is satifying once you start to progress. Play with a friend, and it improves the fun.
