About
Do you like hot dogs? How about horseshoes? Hand grenades? (everyone likes hand grenades) Anyway, we've got all that, and guns. SO MANY GUNS. So if you like ordnance, meat, and groan-worthy puns, this is the VR sandbox game for you.
Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades (H3VR for short), is the heaping pile of our mad obsessive VR experiments. This has been an impressionistically developed experience, over 10+ years and a 120+ updates.

Assemble your ultimate range companion from over 600 Firearms and 250 Attachments. Customize your perfect loadout, be it tacti-cool or utterly cursed and save it for future play. Share your creations with your friends too!

Try out your favorite platforms on H3’s suite of Firing and Demolitions ranges. Improve your aim and reaction time in the M.E.A.T.S. target shooting trainer and Compete on global leaderboards.

Combat some of the most sophisticated AI Agents in VR (yup, even though they’re hot dogs), at range or in melee. Put your mastery of H3’s massive arsenal to the test, and even join the First 2 Wurst Tournament Community on Discord!

Dive into a Wiener’s Weird World; a land overtaken by confused but affable sentient meat and the ruins of bizarre firearm themed attractions. Experience an absurd fragmentary tale told through multiple genres of game.

Enjoy the various goofball holiday event modes the game has gotten over the years, including our much beloved biennial Meatmas Firearm Advent Calendar.

Battle your way through this Sci-fi Action Roguelite. In Take & Hold you are the intruder to the system. Equip yourself to take and then defend control points, while defeating Encryption Targets of escalating complexity. Earn tokens for your performance and spend them in item shops to prepare for the next wave.

Awake outside the town of Wienerton, where a plague of rotten undead meat has beset the eccentric townsfolk of the Honey Hamlet. Find weaponry, craft powerups and explosives, and complete quests on your journey to discover the cause of the Rotwiener outbreak.

Fight in the Meat Fortress combat arena. Made with the official permission of Valve, this loving homage to one of our favorite games has Meaty parodies of Team Fortress 2’s 9 iconic classes, and VR adaptations of the entire original firearm set of the game, as well as over a dozen original creations made in the TF2 style.

Explore the ruins of the Wurstwurld amusement park. Solve puzzles, complete extreme horseshoe challenges, stand off against robit bandits and collect old logs that reveal the background on the most foolhardy and most assuredly not child safe amusement park doomed to failure.

Survive the Meat Grinder, the very first game mode added to H3 back in 2016. Navigate by flashlight through a surreal hellish fast food themed maze, collect precious ammo, defending against animatronic assailants, and dragging the ‘meat’ back to the Grinder in time.

dev is abandoning this and releasing a sequel after being in early access for over ten years. don't buy this and don't buy the sequel either, no doubt the dev will also leave that game in an incomplte state as well.
This game is so Fire that a sequel got announced before this went out of Early Access. 9/10 - had a lot of fun.
best gun simulator ever made. expect to hop on every week to do something random for an hour and then leave. i didn't pay for it but i wish i did.
Devs didn't finish the game, dropped it to work on a 'sequel' so they can charge you again for what should be an update (the only major change so far is an engine update in HHH2).
I've been playing this game since 2020-ish; most of what I used to do was the game ranges, with take & hold on occasion. This game was my go-to just for the amount of guns it had, absolutely NO other VR game has as many guns as this game does, including the more tactical ones. On to the negatives. 1. You can not justify to me why there is work going into another game when this one has been an early access and not finished for TEN years. COD releases new games before their previous game's body is cold, so why are we tolerating it with this one? If this game feels like it's done for you with all the content it has, then I can appreciate that, but ask yourself, "If it's done, why does it still say Early Access Game?" 2. Aside from this game getting new things, game modes, maps, and guns, it still feels outdated. The only thing that felt modern for me was the implementation of the grab mechanic from Half-Life Alyx, and even that is 6 years old by this point, ancient in the minds of gamers, whether we like it or not. This game looks and feels the same as it did in 2020, and I'm sure you can find people who feel like it looks and feels the same as it did in 2016 or 2017 3. Many of you can probably look at things outside of a game and pay no attention to them, things like drama or controversy. I unfortunately can not. The main dev, Anton, using official update channels to get on a soapbox about how he supports the BLM protests and how he'd take part if he weren't a coward (his words, not mine) is extremely bad form. People are looking at those channels for updates on the game, NOT your political views, and telling people stuff like "If you don't want to hear about this, I'll wait for you to click off the video," when you shouldn't even be posting it, is just bad. I could go on about stuff like multiplayer and how a lot of people were asking for it and Anton for a long time just said No it can't be done even though modders are experimenting with adding it so it must not be as impossible as he wanted to make it out to be or the fact that the game has been very slowly gearing itself to the quest side when most people are trying to get out of the Meta ecosystem. To wrap this review up, over the last 6 years, I've watched this game become more boring with things outside the game putting off over the years. For me, this game is a no-go these days, a thing I look back on and remember that I used to have fun playing it, but don't anymore. So no, I don't recommend it. Maybe I could have said I don't recommend it in less words but I felt like it deserved more than "Game bad thumbs down."
I only write this review because of h3vr2. This game is still set as early access and hasn't been finished, and the creator is talking about making a second game. And I would be okay with that if h3vr2 had something revolutionary like multiplayer or pvp but it won't. So in my mind, instead of making an already great game better, this developer is killing this project (and yes, I'm considering it a project still) purely for cash. I seriously can't think of any other motive aside from money, which is exactly why I feel the need to speak against ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this.
I tried to write a review for this game so many times, it has a very special place in my heart. So did Anton. But he sold his soul to Michael Zuckerburger. The rest of what I wish to say shall will have to exist in the void between my keyboard and this text field. Thanks alot hope the moneys enough to bury your empty heart
Making a sequel to an unfinished game is mad
10 years of early access followed by a stillborn v1.0 release that doesn't achieve minimum viable sandbox functionality. The game is essentially 6 different 75% complete tech demos (the various scenes) wrapped in a dead engine. No 120Hz support due to running on an ancient version of Unity with a spaghetti ball of code as its heart. And now a sequel has been in development for 2 years already?
I will be naming my first born child Anton because of this game. It is the best game on PCVR, and exponentially better than every single standalone VR game.
