About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

Hey Dark Matter, GOOD NEWS! I LOVE YOUR GAME! And that's a big deal. What this means for you, is that i'll spend an inordinate amount of time playing, Testing and reporting everything about the game that is either broken, Unfun or is missing. So far, I LOVE the gunplay, The gun handling and the reloading is so satisfying and fun. I usually hate sandbox VR games with no progression but the gunplay thus far has been enough to keep me interested, The handguns are the best i've ever felt in a VR game. The hands and player body and animations from third person are insanely good, Overall it's a very addictive experience, I'm HOOKED! Now onto the criticisms and feedback, Before i get to this, I want to say that this game to me is an 7/10 at it's current point but could EASILY hit that 8 to 9/10 mark. So let's begin. 1. Gun Smoothing when disabled gets forcefully applied when turn with the "Smooth Turn" option. (Very annoying and has gotten me killed.) 2. Add an option to TOGGLE Crouch, Holding it causes the Forced Smoothing to happen as well, Though that could be because i'm actively pulling the thumbstick slightly left or right, which makes me turn which would be why is also why it smooths with virtual crouching, So a toggle would fix that. 3. Add the option to use TRIGGER for mag palming instead of face buttons. 4. Magazines with "Smoothing" Disabled are damn near impossible to load in while moving, a fix would be insanely appreciated! 5. Sometimes guns fall out of the weapon bench while attached and flop allover the place. 6. Doors get stuck often and refuse to open naturally requiring janky movement to get through. 7. Getting stuck on walls a lot when moving, removing friction so you glide along walls instead of sticking would be way better. 8. The AI could really use some polish. They're OKAY how they are but the clip through walls and floors and beds a lot, and have on more than a couple occasions shot me through walls and floors as well as spotted me through them. 9. Bullet penetration is funky, It really doesn't seem to work most of the time, Putting 5.56 into a wooden door, only to have it ricochet but enemies shoot through like it's paper. 10. Attachment system is pretty janky, You can put a rail on something, Add an attachment to the rail, Then remove the rail and keep the attachment there, Floating. Also the Staccato uses the USP45 icon in the weapon select. 11. Sometimes guns (Mainly the staccato) Stop working for no reason, Mag is in, it's racked, Safety off, And click, Click, Click, Rack the gun, The chambered round flies out, And now the gun shoots. That's broken. 12. Magazines can be a little hard to get in consistently in general, The MP5 has probably the worst of it, It's hard to consistently build muscle memory for reloads, when they just refuse to function sometimes. 13. There's should be a "Clean Clutter" button in the home base for when someone spawns 1000 attachments and start bogging down the game. 14. A way to disable primary weapon so you can go only pistol 15. PLEASE Put in a randomize Primary or Secondary button, so i can randomly get weapons with randomized attachments and use them in runs, Also allow build presets so i can spawn my custom handgun whenever i want. 16. PLEASE Add a level gauntlet. Make a mode that allows missions to be played in a sequence, With modifiers, Like being forced to use the gun the level gives you and gear or Increased enemies, or suicide bombers or triple hostages, Etc. 17. Let us pull pins with our mouth, Put grenade to mouth, Pull trigger and pull away, Pins out now, CHUCK IT! 18. Clicking restart when spectating can be repeated and restarts the fade to black 19. Make hands push doors as well as guns. 20. On the snow mission, you can see underneath one of the big rock cliffsides that hold up the central section of the map, Around the outside of it. 21. PLEAASSEE Let us customize WHERE our primaries and secondaries go! I constantly missgrab everything BUT what i'm TRYING to grab. 22. On the boat mission, Some of the steps on the side of the ships have holes in them You can just walk off and fall onto the water. 23. Lots of BIG holes in walls that i can't walk through, Hope that gets fixed soon! 24. Optimization NEEDS attention asap, Adding in upscaling and FFR would be the best thing to help with performance right now, But also i noticed a lot of interlocking Zfighting, Should probably try to keep meshes from doing that. plus the lighting flickers a lot in general. I'd be totally cool toning the level fidelity back a smidge if it meant better performance. 25. Add in Grenade offhand arch aiming please, Grenades can be really hard to use effectively at times, and being able to just aiming them would make the grenades a lot more fun as i avoid using them most of the time because of that. 26. Some more traversal options would be AMAZING! A combat slide, A mantle/Vault over cover, Hell i'll take jumping to any degree. 27. Make scopes usable with nightvision, IDC if it's "rEaLiStIc" It's super lame and unfun that you just can't snipe at night without fighting INSANE Reticle and scope blur. 28. Level design is... Well it's not great but not bad, some maps are fine, but the reused building with the crashed helicopter is the same asset tactical assault uses and it was kind of a bummer seeing that map used, Since there's not many levels. I'm okay with assets being used, But IF assets are being used, Expected more content (Level wise). The more levels the better, And the more density you can bring to the level the better. Hell on the big house map in the desert, Adding a bunch of big-ish models to break up the massive open empty feel of an asset level would go a LONG way. 29. Add in Lobby tags for serious players, I get sick of getting put in with kids or teenagers that just kill you and don't try at all. That's all i got for now. I CAN'T WAIT to see this game develop, And if modding is every supported i'll be making content for this game. Love what has been done, I ask you from a place of passion and sincerity to PLEASE consider everything mentioned in this review. As I want this to be the best game it can be, and i truely know from experience and in my heart that these changes will only benefit the game.

while i imagine this game would be plauged with losers and children i didnt expect it to be this awful, allow me to digress after "bed time" the lobbys are plauged with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that just team kill, over and over again, most missions you have a rambo type that either just goes guns blazing into a mission and clears half the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ building before you even step up, no one uses utility, while i was extremly excited for the implementaion of the Breaching charges a proper 9 banger and grenades, you often end up miss throwing the utility for what i can only call spring bounce from your hand Seriously if you own this game, hold a grenade and just let go, no throwing. nothing, just release the trigger and the grenade just springs out of your hand, whatever skill issue ig dont get me started on trying to be a door knocker or sledge user, your ♥♥♥♥ just gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuck in the door causing many immersion breaking moments that completely took me out of the game, that i opted to just use the Breaching shotgun to fix, again, maybe skill issue the player base has a healthy mix of children and adults with no way to filter out the inbeween or lobby names, (adding a title that says experienced players only, milsim players, etc) so you get this inbetween mix of players trying to larp (ME) mixed with children that have 17 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flashlights on their rifle lagging the lobby, while i am completely understanding that this is early access, the non implementation of a PVP setting has the players teamkilling in both missions and in the lobby with no real countermessure aside from an observant host, with no kill logs or feed, it adds the among us minigame, players trying to figure out who was team killing often blaming an innocent person dont get me started on the AI, yunno the main part of the game, clunky and jagged, is the best way to describe it remember the T-1000 from terminator? well i guess this game had a crossover event that there are enemys me and my entire team mag dump and they just stand there shooting, the only way ive found to kill them is with MANY frag grenades, and speaking of frag grenades, the amount of times i go to frag and clear and die (THE EXPLOSION THROUGH A COVER WALL OR TOP FLOOR) meaning brick not wood, is actualy astounding, im not sure this studio knows how a frag grenade works, its meant to shoot shrapnel in a radius, not be like c4 ive thrown frags into rooms expexting it to be clear, only to be 1 shot by the T-1000s standing in the middle of the room almost to mock me lastly, to touch on this as i remember there is no penalty for teamkilling, no auto kick, no cooldowns etc, and because you drop your firearm on death, NO RETALIATION. meaning your stuck, in the 4x4 spawn room getting killed over and over and over with NOTHING you can do about it but leave, overall the TAVR playerbase shifted games and is going to be probably the main reason this becomes a pickup for like 30 minute game and not play untill it updates, as it stands they say that (the ai is never in the same place) but the beginning missions have them all spawned in the same areas same patrols same numbers, at least TAVR had patrols and larger maps you actually felt like you deployed on, rather than a (oop i magic mirrored into the middle of a hostile area and now i clear this one building, the maps are mediocre at best, memorized after an hour of gameplay TO SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE the guns are incredible, some of the best feeling guns until H3VR-2 comes out, pistols are rewarding, rifles feel alive and the kit customization is top tier, its a shame the game falls flat on every other catagory TLDR -Children will be children, -No way to filter lobbys by expectation -clunky PHYSICAL breach mechanics (weapons stuck in doors) -team killing rewards the team killer -Missions are like 5 minutes long -no difficulty spike ai remains Idiodic with similar spawns either A spawn or B Spawn pattern -Awesome kit customization -Weapons feel amazing -Maps Feel lifeless -ai is legit bugged on some maps and wont die -no punishment for team killing (no auto kick and no name pops up leading to the implementaion of the among us minigame -NO PVP PERIOD at all. and trying to make PVP is stupid as ♥♥♥♥ -ai shoots you through walls -FRAGMENTAION GRENADES kill you through walls and floors -no one uses utility unless you count the foot as utility im sure there will be changes in the future, but for right now, i would have much rather seen this COMING SOON than released in its current state, every negative review is honest every positive review is honest every youtube video is either scripted, paid promotion or theyve found the 10% of players, ACTUALLY PLAYING LIKE A MILITARY SIM dont expect it to go like how you saw downloadble contents video to be
The game is VERY realistic and seems really fun... but. My problem is lag. I have better specs than the recommended specs and the game is so laggy i can't even reload. I have refunded this product.
Wish I could give it a "meh." The game was super fun content wise and has a lot of potential, but crashes and freezes often to the point of it being almost unplayable. If the devs are able to fix the performance I would totally play again.
24+ hours in and I just wanna keep playing. This is peak tactical shooter. There's no game more realistic or CAG than this, VR or flatscreen alike. Fight through a bit of jank and you'll be in for a treat. - The gunplay is absolutely fantastic. Rifles feel amazing to shoot. The pistols are the best pistols in VR, hands down. - Multiplayer is incredibly fun, especially when you have a good group to roll with that knows CQB tactics. The training map is full of IPSC courses and shot timers. I've probably spent 6-7 hours just running the courses with myself and with teammates to practice my weapons handling and shooting skills. - The current maps in the game are great. I wish there was more variety and just plain more to do, but for an initial release, there's plenty enough. - The guns and gear customization is an amazing start. Rifles can be kitted out pretty extensively with tons of different optics and a few lasers/illuminators. You can already create a pretty unique looking operator. Setting up your tactical vests however you want is also addicting. All of the customization is a bit clunky though and currently, there's no way to create presets unfortunately. I'm floored by how good this is despite the slight amount of jank and early access. Keep up the great work dev team and can't wait for more.
Runs ok, just very confusing, the training doesn't explain anything, and guns are ok at best, H3VR still seems better imho.
i had hoped to like this game, as i am really interested in cqb style games. but, when developers arent able to make their game run decently on recommended hardware, i cannot continue to support them. it runs poorly, i am hardly able to get 30 fps, and when playing online, i occasionally hit a lagspike and either die or crash or get super low on health. for right now, in the games current state, it is unplayable
3 years of development and it barely runs. Ridiculous. I get it that it just came out but it's genuinely insane to me how long that this game has been worked on and yet it has constant crashes and bugs as if it's still barely in development. I already requested a refund. I would have waited longer if it meant that the game ran consistently at higher graphics. It's ridiculous that I can run VRChat, Onward, TAVR, and Phas at high graphics but this game barely runs at anything over low graphics. Please focus on optimization.
I cannot give this a good review at this time. And I will explain myself below. I want to also add, that these are simply dealbreakers, and there is good to the game, and hope, it just needs tons of work. 1. This is a CQB/"House clearing" shooter. There isnt really many others who compete in the field, and this game beats every other vr shooting game by far in terms of gun play, customization, and the feel of the weapons. 2. The missions are cool, the equipment is cool, everything works in terms of equipment. 3. This is about where the good stuff stops lol. On load in, if you select training first, and not single player, you have bare bones guns and equipment, and absolutely zero guidance. I had to google what the correct way to play it was. 4. The very first problem I saw right away was doors, and how you open and manipulate them. This games bread and butter is CQB, but yet every door feels sticky and clunky, majority of them are locked which requires a two handed breach method, and by the time youre done with that youre dead. Which leads me to my next point. 5. The enemy AI is OUTRAGEOUS. Like straight up XD. I cannot believe that they shipped this level of wall hacking enemies with the game. Walking up to breach they will shoot you through the wall. It happens every time before you even touch the handle to see if it is locked or not. You have to stand there to hammer it open, or use a slap charge and they just piece you up. It makes the game and missions literally unplayable, unless you have a squad, and then it just becomes, who can penetrate the door more. 6. There is 0 ballistics being done. They can shoot through the door, but you will notice that it takes 30 rounds through the door before you kill just one enemy. And some missions have 20-30 lol. I mean, its just not ready for play. All in all, this game has so much promise. But once again, the ability to push an early access game wins. Its unfinished, its not much fun even when you figure stuff out because there is no real breaching. Only shooting through doors or being shot through door. Aside form that it is literally the best in terms of gun play I cannot lie.
making every door a 50/50 death trap of the AI lasering you and not providing a riot shield is certainly a choice
