if only it was more gay
this ♥♥♥♥ won't run
unforgettable journey
I can give it a conditional recommendation as there are decent parts to be salvaged here, but honestly, the more I played it, the more it felt like the game was developed to piss me off. Let's start with the passable... PROS: - The demon hunter boyband road trip banter/moments - The things you get to watch (the salt and pepper FF spectacle) - The photography - Ignis' discoveries of new recipeh! - The outfit system - Aranea - Cindy - Gentiana's cool secret beachwear - Umbra CONS: - Meh story. - The sidequests. Repetitive, boring, and really annoying in context (you are the crown prince but everyone bullies you into doing their stupid jobs--not help, do). - The post-game dungeons that doesn't respect your time and preference for something essential. - Your progression. JRPGs should inspire wanderlust, but this one practically keeps you in a jar of same-same. - Immersion is caput. Too much reused assets, to the point that it doesn't matter where you are in the map; everything looks the same. - All the NPCs who didn't get the memo about dressing up for a Final Fantasy game. Everyone looks like they're either going golfing or visiting Disneyland in their 40s. - The build-up of going to Altissia to take a 30-second piss in its waterpark. - The way the game blueballs you into thinking that there's an Akatsuki opposition in there somewhere. - Chapter 13. - Dino. - Lady Lunafreya, your imaginary girlfriend. This is a 15-20 hour game that's padded to oblivion with a pathological hoarder's garage sale. And to think I played it in its perfected form--bought it while on sale. I think I'd be royally edition pissed if I got it way back then at full price. It just didn't scratch the Final Fantasy itch, where you are deepthroated by a war eternal among all the tech, magic, and politics that ironically hold the world together. The sense of adventure is neutered because the vistas offered are unchanging throughout your run. Remember when you actually got to travel the world back then? That's no longer the case because publishers/developers are still chasing the open world pipe dream without fully committing to it. I'd happily go back to having an overworld map if the prerogative of eventually flying your Highwind comes packaged with it. This is strike two for me on modern FF games after FF7 Remake. Square Enix should quit it with this chapter-by-chapter delivery. This isn't DMC. The use of chapters should be limited to storytelling purposes, and shouldn't be applied as a gatekeeping mechanic to area accessibility.
没吃过屎的可以尝一下,这个战斗系统就是💩,真正的💩
I will recommend if this is on sale, I can see why this had poor reception at full price and having to wait and pay for the DLC. I highly recommend playing Episode Ardyn before playing. Screw what people say, only 5% of people complete it anyways, and you'll get a way better hook into the story, as its a prologue if anything. The main game story is so poorly told, sequenced in paced that I wish I started with it, the spoilers are things that do NOT impress in the main game, you arent ruining some grand revelation. It's sad that they tied in the other characters episodes into the late game story so much otherwise I'd say play those first too. Unless you spend your precious AP to unlock the ability to take over the characters, you never know what they are like to play until the very end of the game when you're forced to. So the Episodes shouldve been made to be played at the beginning. They did a horrible job with how it ties into the story and the overall structure. Its a mess. But outside of that there are some good things to take away. The combat is very much like Dragons Dogma, so if you like that you will find enjoyment here. But the combat is super easy, and ultimately too basic. This is exposed when you are forced to play solo for sections. It's just auto attack and auto dodge. Yes the game has auto dodge, you are invinsible to almost everything by holding a button. But when you have your party and you're fighting packs of enemies, its enjoyable. Just wished there were more techniques and could equip more than 3. After the first big zone it turns into a ghetto Uncharted, that ranges from mid to bad with some epic moments sprinkled in. But its a big let down. The open world, dungeons and dragon's dogma vibe is the best part of the game. But ya, start with Episode Ardyn, trust
