It's a nice game
I love this game, it`s very enjoyable and fun, with interesting story and likeable characters. I`ve played it several times and am going to play it again. It`s the first game in the series. You have many quests(contracts) to do, you have a choice to do it the different way with different result, tou have choices in dialogs with your party`s characters to earn friendship points and later-personal quests for these characters. You have good/bad karma system. There are tons of weapons, armors, accessories with very interesting and peculiar properties and characteristics that you can find, earn in the fights and craft, including rare, artifacts and legendary ones. You can fight some legendary monsters (chance encounters in the world map and certain dungeon). Plus, there is a wonderful wolkthrough. I hope this game will give you many hours of enjoyment and entertainment just like it does for me!
vitevotum´s 3|3
Classic RPG. You start as a hunter, find companions, explore the world, fight turn-based battles and finish the questline. I like: 1. A lot of side quests, there are guilds that offer rewards if you rank up (finish quests) 2. Companions join during the main story line. There are companion quests, these companions learn an ability. 3. Upgrade party with stat raising items, find hidden loot, or upgrade equipment with stat bonus. I do not like: 1. There are a few bugs here. 2. War God (difficulty) is no fun in two instances.
You will have to fight with companions who join you. These fights cannot be skipped and are only winnable if you have a lot of luck. Try safe-scumming
3. Basic sound and effects.
Excellent Story Writing. What comes of as cheesy tropy anime style behaviour by the protagonist whittles you down to receive some very deep emotional story telling. My favourite part is you start to understand the reasons why certain bad guys are the way they are and you feel very sympathetic towards them. Combat could be improved but it is approached in a very unique way via fighting styles combos and finishers which makes it very refreshing for a player who is currently on a massive RPGMaker Binge. My single complaint with the game is the rune stone system. Let us be able to un-equip them to encourage experimentation without having to make a permanent commitment and wreck our unique weps/armor/accessories.
Dysfunctional team of heroes with obnoxious "leader" questioning every NPCs' sanity. Truly lovely game.
An Amazing game! The fights were engaging and the story kept me intrigued till the end. This is one of those gems with a well balanced gameplay (Even at the end it didn't feel like i was overpowering, and the challenge was just right) and a great story. Really looking forward to how this saga unfolds. Will definitely get the next game. :)
*crowd starts chanting* Where is the sequel? Where is the sequel? Dang that was a fun ride. One which I will remember for a long time to come. That made me feel so good. Oddly this is rated as a possible nsfw game yet all of it is in the dialogue. And here's the thing I don't mind a bit of adult humor in a game. And for Eredia, it makes it that much better. Overall I can't even begin to start the praises of this game. My biggest complaint is probably that you receive the ship way too late in the game. But overall the story is engaging with a few too many tangents. Man alive completing everything in this is time consuming. I hope to see the sequel made sometime in the near future to see what the future holds for Kenrad.
I love the story and had to replay the whole game again and would regard it as the best to recoommend for other to try it out for your first time, it'll be a ride for sure.
This game is and fun RPG to play. Just make sure that when you accept a quest to really pay attention to where they tell you to go because if not you may have to wander around until you find what you are looking for.
