Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 7 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The beginning of Elex is traditionally hard and even frustrating just like in the older Piranha Bytes game series Gothic and Risen. But over time you rise slowly in the rank, get stronger and establish an increasingly sovereign gameplay. The world is huge (the biggest since Gothic 3) and varied and there is very much to explore and numerous quests to master. All in all Elex offers 80 hours+ of challenging gameplay in a new setting but with many traditional weaknesses of Piranha Bytes games (especially the fighting system). My overall impression is positive and I would rate it with 7,5 of 10.

Im sorry guys I just cannot recomend this game. I have had it for a few years now and I just dont know how I am going to play a 27 hour story with this when the combat is way to clunky, I cannot move the character very well (ex - I was running from guys, went for a second to pick up a medicinal herb so i dont die, and while that should take half a second instead it takes the character like 2 full seconds, just to turn around and try to take plant) The list goes on and on, I want to like it but while the ideas are good, if playing the game even so much as walking or combat..basic stuff is so hard...theres no point in playing. If you are going to have 'dark souls' combat, then it needs to be tight...I cant even fight any thing because its just so clunky. Its been years and the same is still not finished. So sorry. this game is no good.
The only reason I haven’t played good games in recent years is stupid reviews on steam. Seeing “mixed” and “mostly positive” meant a “bad” game for me. Do yourself a favor and ignore steam reviews. Elex and games like it are games with soul. It’s rare to find good open world rpgs with meaningful exploration, dialogues and quests. The world here is vast with lore and many things to see. It is a flawed game? Yes it is, just like with all good games, there are flaws. In order to have a game that deserves your time, you need to have developers that try new things and don’t hang on ancient series. Yes the formula is like Gothic but it is not Gothic or Risen, It’s is own game. As for the gameplay itself. It’s really hard. You will get eater, kills and you will die for most of the game until you understand where you need to be. You will take your time with it to explore and win little fights. Slowly you will find what works for you. Try different methods and end up being a god that can take the whole map. Can you abuse the system? I bet you can. But that is what makes it fun. They is not hand holding here and you have to discover everything for yourself. So when you are able to abuse the system it feels rewarding and not “cheating”. It’s not a sterile experience like all the AAA games you’re used to. Again, the game is not perfect. But you can sink in many many hours with a minimum of 3 play through to I think. It’s totally worth it,
Suprisingly, there are a lot of crash reports among reviews - but on Win10 it ran just fine for me, with a single crash across the entire playthrough. So don't let that scare you off before you've even started. Now, the melee combat is outdated - no point sugarcoating it. But here's the thing: the world itself makes you forget about it pretty quickly. Your first encounter with an Alb patrol, your first brutal fight against Moloch or the Patron, the moment you finally get your hands on a proper weapon or armor, and that sweep from a rusty sword to a plasma rifle - these moments are completely worth pushing through the rough early hours. The skill progression is uneven, sure, but there's something almost addictive about it: you're always short on something: attribute points, skill points, Elex for drinks, money for decent gear. It never lets you feel fully comfortable, which makes side quests and a bit of farming feel genuinely useful rather than optional busywork. And then there's that moment when you stumble upon the truth behind the Clerics' God entirely on your own, not through some main story progression, that's just ... wow. So if hardcore, nostalgic RPGs don't scare you - like Arx Fatalis - give Elex a few hours. A few patient ones. Because once it clicks, you'll finish it eager to jump straight into the second part.
Piranha Bytes.

I don't understand why people vote this game as a goodd one. Bro i think you have lots of time to waste. An other explanation does not there. I played 16 hours but still getting angry every time i tried. first 4-6 hour was good but after get stayed middle of open world, this game get converted to garbage one. I can not move any town or city because every enemies had 100 LVL weapon and i was trying to avoid die. It s like a nightmare game. Dont buy it. I would buy Elex 2 but i want to play first game. Now i wont buy Elex 2. F.ck you all developers. I just want to go another city withou any hustling and annoying. why every path has lots of strong enemy. I left the game and unistalled it. I wasted my time and money.
a great game . such a pity there will be no elex 3 .
