Another Crab’s Treasure looks like a cute, relaxing crab adventure — but it actually kicked my butt! I got gunked way more times than I’d like to admit. The story is simple: you’re a crab hunting for treasure to get your shell back. It’s not super deep, but it keeps you exploring. Gameplay is the highlight — tough Souls-like challenges that still feel welcoming for beginners. It’s hard but fair, and beating bosses feels amazing, specially with the special shell (GUN). The underwater world is stunning and colorful, but the pollution you see adds a surprisingly meaningful message. Overall, it’s funny, challenging, and more thought-provoking than expected. Cute on the outside, with real heart underneath. Just be ready to get gunked a lot.
Really fun soulslike game with aquatic theme. Don't let the cute art style fool you; the gameplay is quite challenging. The only issues I experienced were a couple of game crashes and controller button prompts not showing up. Other than that, I had a great time and would definitely recommend it.
I know this looks like spongebob soulslike but it's a genuinely great game. The level design and the combat are on par with fromsoft games (imo) and the story is actually good! It can seem a little simplistic at first but once you finish the tutorial area and start unlocking more abilities and explore more challenging areas it gets really good!
It's open world, it's a traditional hack and slash action game, it's a soul-slike, it's a comedy, it's informative, it's kid friendly. It's just a great overall game and good vibe. I spent like 2 hours roaming around the open area before initiating the actual story after getting my shell taken.
This game is very fun, the dialogue is witty and charming and the gameplay is polished and rewarding. I would recommend this game to anyone.
Another Crab’s Treasure is a fun take on the souls-like genre. On its surface it’s a Pixar like story about a hermit crab embarking on a journey to get his shell back. beneath the surface contains deeper political themes like climate change, oligarchy, capitalism, corporate greed, and worker exploitation, just to name a few. A lot of these themes are very relevant to what we can see going on in the world today. The gameplay is very smooth and familiar if you’ve played other souls like games. The unique part of this experience is finding unique shells that offer different abilities and stats as you progress through the game. The game isn’t quite as difficult or punishing as other games of this genre I’ve played but still enough of a challenge that it’s not a walk in the park. Only complaints I remember having are a few beta holes i would get stuck in and some world loading issues when entering new areas. These issues didn’t happen often enough to be a huge issue. Overall I was pleased to find a story I could relate to in this game I went into expecting just a quick silly souls-like. Would definitely recommend if you’re into this genre of games.
love this cute little game its fun and ive never played dark souls before but now i want to
