What a phenomenal game. Since I prefer more grounded settings, initially I was skeptical of the whole supernatural setup with vampires and werewolves and whatnot. But man... The narrative ended up being extremely compelling, by the end I genuinely cared about the fate of the characters, I can definitely see why they're considering making a movie adaptation. The voice acting is superb, the music had my jaw on the floor multiple times, and the gameplay is near perfect - it's one of those rare games where you eventually enter a flow state and the character becomes an extension of yourself. I can already tell I'll miss this one so I'm glad they announced the sequel.
Kicking myself for sleeping on this for so long The comments of the gameplay loop feeling a bit samey especially towards the end are true, but everything else is just such an unique and quality experience. From the interesting plot and it's delivery, the stellar performances, and strange but AWESOME soundtrack, it had me hooked the whole way. Incredibly stoked for the sequel.
8/10. Great story, great characters and voice acting. My main issue is the constantly increasing and decreasing level of difficulty. Like genuinely some levels easy as hell then you get hit with a boss fight that 1 shots you. Really soured the pacing and experience for me.
This game is good and i like it at times but dear lord how long does it have to be? its been 3 months and im still playing this game.
This game belongs in El Paso, My heart
never been to texas but I bet it's exactly like this

Peak
· Atmosphere is nice · Voice acting rocks · The camera movement is weird/glitchy. · Inputs are ignored sometimes. · Changing weapons via mousewheel is slow (you have to wait for the weapon to be switched before you can switch to the next one again) · Often physics are janky. · diving/dodging is a disadvantage · The Levels are repetitive and have no verticality at all (There only is a ground floor at all times) · The art-style is rather mid imo. · Price is way too high Doesn't sound too good BUT the gameplay is fun still and it makes up for it. However, I wouldn't pay more than 10€ for it.
It was always going to be a one way trip.
