About
Chasing a relentless serial killer, you wake up in a hospital you've never seen before. Your body bears a grievous wound that will kill you in fifteen minutes if you do nothing. Yet even in death, you rise again, carrying the memories of everything you've endured.
Gain experience, adapt, and survive the time loop in this third-person survival horror - Fear the Timeloop.
Despite your critical condition, you must face an even greater threat: bloodthirsty monsters. The hospital is surrounded by mysterious figures, ready to kill anyone who steps outside.
The only person who can help you is Sheriff’s deputy Rose Watters. But neither she nor you know what horrors lurk in the dark corners of Saint Heritage Hospital - or which memories from the past might come rushing back.
Key Features:
A time loop at the core of both story and gameplay mechanics.
A flexible ability system that can be tailored to your preferred playstyle.
A branching dialogue system that reacts to your early choices and the path you take through the loop.
Metroidvania-inspired elements that let you revisit previously inaccessible areas to unlock new abilities and discover valuable items.

It's not a bad game, but it isn't for me, and maybe for others. Why? I like the survival horror genre, and while I quite liked the idea of looping progression and bleeding, as soon as I read that I'd also have to deal with a Stalker, I realized this game was going to be far too stressful and difficult, even on easy. I've always hated Stalkers. The game is already stressful enough with the constant bleeding, but the presence of a Stalker would make it unbearable, and I'd definitely end up quitting. That's why I asked for a refund. I hope the developer (for future projects) and other gamers who hate Stalkers find this feedback helpful.
One of the best indie survival horror games ive played. Resi 2 was a inspiration here, and thats good. The ending was really a mindf***, love it. Would buy the second game right away, but im curious whether and how a second game could be realized, regarding story and gameplay.
Spoopy: 3/10 Overall: 5/10 Good: * Atmosphere is pretty good. * Sound options were available. * Story was okay. * The monsters were well done. Bad: * Optimization was not very good. * Not very scary. * Sound volume was all over the place at times, sometimes too loud, sometimes too soft. (ie: Music and Voice Volume). * Voice Acting was bad. * Boss fights got bugged. * A lot of features weren't properly implemented. * Map Indicators could of been done better. (ie: You don't know which direction the latched door is locked on. It could of been fixed by putting the latched door icon on the side that was locked). * Map Player Cursor was all over the place. (ie: Your player could be in the corner of the room and it will show you in the Center of the room on the map). * Inventory system was unnecessarily small, especially with all the puzzles that the game relies on. Having max inventory right from the start of the game would of improved the flow of the game. So, you wouldn't have to waste so much time running back and forth * Choice Rooms were an interesting feature. However, they weren't implemented well. These rooms contained a few items and some lore. Could of been removed completely and helped the flow of the game. It made it feel like it was a chore to run all the way back primarily for the lore. * Temporal Rooms were also a neat feature. However, poorly implemented as well. They really didn't serve a purpose. * Minor Complaint: Guns have an unnecessarily large kick to them. * Objectives also bugged at times. Even after you completed one, it would still show up on the objective list as it not being completed. * You can figure out what the general story is about 50% of way through the game. But some key points of the story are also not explained. * Combat rag dolls in Melee didn't make any sense. You would hit them with your baton and their head would explode or they would be tossed up 10 feet into the air. More funny, than scary. * A lot of running in the game, with not many monsters in between destinations until near the end of the game. Making the area feel empty and more like a running simulator. Buy this game if it is on sale for at least 50% off. Have a game guide or youtube walkthrough available because you will probably get stuck.
It's not bad in itself, but negative review for false advertising - it's not a timeloop, it's just a traditional RE2-like with checkpoints and minimal carryover after death.
Fear The Timeloop is a great game that you will thoroughly enjoy if you like resident evil type survival horror games. Although its not a perfect game by any means, it manages to do the things that matter in a survival horror game very well, while also adding some mechanics of its own. Just be prepared to check your map every 30 seconds to find out where or how to get from point A to point B, since the game's map is like a maze made of hundreds of rooms.
Really cool cross between silent hill and evil within. Really enjoyed playing this. Voice acting is pretty terrible and there are some minor glitches, but definitely worth a look.
It's ok. The level design and game mechanics are a standout, but they're really held back by the animations, terrible voice acting and just overall lack of polish. But it's still a fun experience.
more like fear the backtracking loop am i right?
Good mix of RE gameplay with Silent Hill setting. Despite its flaws definitely worth it.
