Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

2026 already and back to the game to get the taste of childhood, still a masterpiece to me

когда-то BioWare делали поистине легендарные игры. Ферелден, Серые Стражи, Мор, жестокость мира Dragon Age...и то, куда серия по итогу вышла...это больно...очень больно...Спасибо, что существует хотя бы этот шедевр. Из раза в раз переигрываю и из раза в раз понимаю, что раньше действительно было лучше.

One of the best role-playing games of all times, no doubt. Amazing characters, great storytelling, meaningful decisions. 10/10.

What an incredible game! The main story is really engaging, with great companions. I don't understand the hate for Alistair and Oghren. Morrigan forever <3 It took me a while to play, but it was worth it. The side quests are also very cool. The big problem is that the game has many problems running on newer hardware. It would crash frequently, causing loss of progress, requiring more saving than usual. At other times, I couldn't load a saved game, but aside from all those problems, is a game that if very worth until nowdays.

Good Game but on PC it Crash a lot

Started as a fun "mmorpg-ish" combat/party management game. Died for me when I understood level scaling is omnipresent + no new good fun tactics after level 12-ish + no re-specs (yup). Oh, and supposedly there's a story somewhere also? The elves' location quest reminded me of Witcher 1 in a good way, but the rest is mostly "you must care about this rando because your character has history with them!!!!" meanwhile these people I know for maybe a couple minutes tops on screentime? And it's not like it's an amazingly written short novel which can genuinely make you empathize with characters you knew for 5 minutes, it's generic fantasy slop tier writing (which can also be good, but) that puts you into the "I know all these people really well" stage as often as possible without the actual "getting to know them" part. Oh, and unlike other big boy party rpgs, the party members don't strike up convos with you, nor notify you they'd wish to discuss something or whatever. I only realized a character from my party had something to say once BECAUSE I ACCIDENTALLY CLICKED ON THEM. ffs.
