Dash across the ruins of a broken world with impossible speed in a last stand against the apocalypse. Solo or with friends, reawaken the powers of those who fell before you, unleash devastating weapons, perfect your loadout, and reclaim what was taken.
Your godlike speed is key to surviving the all-consuming Vortex threatening your world; stay aggressive and overwhelm the battlefield - before it overwhelms you.
Chain dashes, strikes, abilities and devastating power moves together in hyper-fast combat built around flow. Tear through ever-changing islands filled with challenges, enemies, and bosses designed to push your limits.
It’s dangerous to go alone, and you’ll need every weapon, trinket and passive upgrade you can get. Dual wield to combine unique weapon movesets, unleash powerful Alterattacks, and customize your build with over 170+ unlockables.
The playstyle is yours to create: Mix fast melee weapons with heavy hitters (including the fan-favourite Crocojaw, known for its brutal bite!), ranged tools, status effects, mobility skills and more to become the unstoppable force on the battlefield.
Whether you prefer playing solo or in co-op chaos, you’ll find a complete experience in Windblown. Our game caters to all playstyles, with no gating!
Coordinate builds, hunt for upgrade mats and defeat formidable foes together or single - then go chill at the hub whenever you need a break from the mayhem!
Death is part of the process - just dust yourself off and try again! Every failed run lets you bring back valuable resources to unlock new weapons, powers and upgrades at the Ark, expanding future builds and playstyles. Learn enemy patterns, try a new loadout, and come back stronger every time.
No drawback to experimenting, so go forward, Leaper!

I tried to like this game. I made my friends buy it and played co-op. The action feels nice, the combo variations are imaginative with few button presses. But it lacks variation so painfully. You only unlock a few new weapons and like 2-3 playstyles that you're forced to reuse on the following runs -- in similar locations using similar layouts. And I don't think it's an EA thing either -- Dead Cells suffered from it too (and I think it was only forgiven because it pioneered the genre -- runs feel very samey there as well). Long story short: great action, lovely charm, metaprogression so shallow and boring it turned me off from the game completely.
The culmination of developers listening to their community and responding at an almost unreal level of commitment. Music is fantastic, multiplayer is seamless, and AXOLOTLS!!!! The artwork is fresh, color fidelity is on point, and it's contagiously enjoyable. Spent too much time in early access though but that's the price of always listening to the community whims. I say it's worth it.
If you're a hardline controller user like me, wait until they fix controller issues. There's a problem with overlapping accept/cancel requests like when picking up new items to replace current ones. I didn't get to play much because of this, but it seems like a really fun game! Loved Dead Cells. Odd that this came up. I know I can use a keyboard, but for it to work at nearly correct capacity is a flag for me so I shall wait to play more until it's patched. Using Nintendo Switch Pro controller that works great for other games. Recommending it because it looks and feels good otherwise and the company has always impressed me with Dead Cells. Please address this controller issue
Some REALLY questionable decisions as of recently, including the nerf to dash canceling which was the only thing keeping greatsword playable pre 100% attack speed. Absolutely outrageous. Now dash canceling can cancel your final combo attack. AWFUL change. Idk who would even approve that ngl. I actually would refund if I had the option to because this isn't anywhere near what I signed up for as it feels x10 worse in comparison to what I played for over a year JUST because of that change in dash canceling.
Fast paced combat with mix/match combo system on top of excellent rogue-like meta progression, musically scored by one of the best electronic music producers out there. Multiplayer is totally stable with the occasional hiccup, but nothing enough to disrupt a run with friends. This game is a great addition to any library.
I've been Windblown away, they really cooked with this. Beautiful visuals, engaging story, enjoyable gameplay loop. Even in Early Access its one of the best games I've played this year. Its takes a few runs to get used to bosses and items, but the amount of easter eggs and content to unlock makes sure you won't get bored easily. The quick pace is a big factor in making the game so enjoyable for me, as similar games I've tried have fairly slow movement in comparison. Of course some weapons and trinkets could do with balancing (most notably shield) but overall I would recommend this to any fan of the genre. Also has an amazing multiplayer interface and co-op balancing.
Kinda surprised this is made by the same team as Dead Cells...Dead Cells was good, this is kinda...slop. The art is great, tho.
amazing game
SPEEEED! alright so while i never beat Deadcells on its hardest diff i still played it a lot when it came out and up untill the queen update, Deadcells was fun so i was happy to try this out. alright so the first thing i want to say is that the music is really good! it really fits with the places you are moving through at high speeds and that brings me to the second part, the speed! there are some moments wherethe floor is purple grass and its kinda hard to notice the PURPLE bomb the enemy attacks you with and those moments combined with the speed can sometimes be bad, so far me and all my friends who have played it tend to just look at the minimap and hold down the dash button but even that is still pretty fun. the movement feels so good that i only want it to be slightly better but making that work would be really hard i know. the art is fun and you can make some really nasty builds, and i dont know if this is because of all the other games ive played but i do kinda wish there was some built in parry mechanic (like a "dodge into an enemy attack" kinda thing) but idk that might just be me loving the game hope more people try it!
