This game sucks. It is pretty much the pure epitome of RNG, probably the most RNG a rogue-like has ever been. The characters you can play as all have gimmicks which also all suck, each character worse than the last with the first character the only one that has any chance because of the ability to modulate the RNG in some way. Even that isn't enough though - the equipment you rely on is 70% bad, didn't role useful equipment? Too bad, you lose. In other rogue-likes because there is usually some element of skill you can deal with unlucky equipment rolls but not here, it's pretty much impossible if you don't get defense options. There is a vendor that offers to trade which is a pure troll by the developers as not once has it ever offered me something useful and always selects the un-negotiable offer on my end to be equipment I actually use and not any of the tons of useless pieces I have. May I suggest an alternative to this game which takes just as much player agency but is much faster? Grab a die and say if you roll a 5 or a 6 you win, anything else you lose. Do that, and you've pretty much emulated the Dicey Dungeons experience.
