This is by far Quantic Dream’s best game however that’s not really saying much because at the helm David Cage is a hack who can’t write and direct. It saddens me because Quantic Dream has some of the best developers making his games, they get actors and actress who try their best despite the writing and they all deserve better. Connor’s story is the best because it explores the ideas of identity. It’s not flawless but it is the most interesting one. Markus’s story goes into civil rights and it’s a mess. David Cage has such a little understanding of the subject matter that it’s very offensive. He has stated it wasn’t his intention to make real life comparisons but I don’t believe him. He uses real life logos, quotes etc. Kara’s story is dull and thanks to a bad twist it everything it did well goes down the drain. I don’t know why I put myself through his games and 100% them. Maybe I want to suffer. It’s depressing because if Quantic Dream had a different writer their games could be cult classics. In the end I do not recommend this game. Who knows maybe their next game will be better but not with David Cage being the writer and director. I cannot stress how bad he is.
Ah, the intriguing world of Detroit in the future world. Quantic Dream delivers a visually stunning and narrative-driven experience that hooks you from the very first mission playing as the wonderous Connor. Set in a meticulously crafted vision of 2038, the game explores a society heavily reliant on androids and act like humans. You control three distinct androids-Connor, a cyber-detective hunting deviant AI; Kara, a caretaker seeking freedom with a small child by the name of Alice; and Marcus, the reluctant leader of a coming revolution. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the environmental story telling makes the city feel like a living, breathing character of its own. And remember this is not just a game... This is our future.
ABSOLUTE CINEMA. Easy 10/10. It can feel like a slow burn at first, but once it picks up, it really picks up. Probably the the most impactful story driven game I've ever played. The game defaults to XBOX icons/prompts when playing with a PS controller, but if you want to use a Playstation controller and have PS icons/prompts, do this: Disable Steam Input for the game. Connect your PS4 DualShock 4 controller through DS4Windows. In DS4Windows, go to Profiles → New. When prompted, choose Yes to use the gamepad template. Select Gamepad: DualShock 4. Open the profile settings, go to Other, and under Virtual Controller Settings, set Emulated Controller to DualShock 4. Save the profile and launch the game with the controller connected through DS4Windows.
What can I say. This game itself shouldn't be considered a game, but a story. A story of three characters, where every decision makes an impact on the story. Talking about the story, it is VERY rich. So rich that most of the players haven't seen 50% of the all possible endings, threads, and other hidden stuff. I'd rate the game 8/10
OH MY GOD
