Very interesting concept - loop story driven FPS with great graphics, art style, music, characters and story. And with many puzzles and secrets which are not mandatory but can help you understand complete story and world. It have some flaws (bugs, Ai, etc) but if you like ARPG and Rogue like games (read: if you like repetition and grind) it can scratch that itch very well.

Just saw that this game is currently 12 bucks. Deathloop is easily in my top 10 games of all time. Highly recommend. It's a time loop game, but with a story told in an amazingly unique way with plenty of twists and discoveries. Also highly recommend using a ps5 controller, the implementation of the controller's features are pretty solid. 12 bucks is a steal for a game this good.
A very fun game to 100%, with enjoyable PvP, a great story, and well-written characters to boot.
✔ quick paced: no bullet sponge enemies, fast combat - either you die or them ✔ fun and immersive power trip ? options are there with weapons/upgrades/perks/powers, but not that many ? in the sandbox <-> guided dichotomy it's in a weird place, where you have objectives, but you choose yourself in which order to pursue them ? see those fun-looking clips in game description? the problem is that it's obviously sub-optimal to play like that - you would only do that for self-awarded style points ✘ it's a bad roguelike, because runs get pretty samey when you get a few of your favourite permanent upgrades ✘ can get repetitive if you want to finish the game ✘ quickly gets easy, since you repeat the same actions on the same maps, gathering knowledge and building your arsenal It's a good game, but it's not really for me - I wish it was more directed. Not really scripted, but more story-driven and with less repetition.
Why Negative Review : The PC version in it's current state is absolutely broken. There is a VRAM leak that will inevitably turn your system into a slideshow no matter how much VRAM you have . It's unplayable and well documented. Knowing the fate of Arkane , this will remain broken. This game should not be allowed to be sold on steam. Game : In brief this is quite similar to Dishonoreded 2. The powers are good , stealth is easier and there is a lot of options to complete your mission. However the timeloop thing is pretty on rails. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it over on PS5 , where it is functional.
This game has crashed nearly every time I launch it. After 3 hours of messing with settings, deleting config files, and browsing internet forums for a resolution, I am not interested in coaxing entertainment out of this software anymore. I am requesting a refund.
The first thing I noticed in this game was the awful voice acting. I genuinely felt like I was back in kindergarten. It’s straight-up school play level. I’ve rarely heard dialogue this primitive, and it was physically and mentally painful to sit through. What really pissed me off was the moment the main character grabs a knife to kill someone — instead of acting, he just spends a good ten seconds spinning it around in his wrist before you’re finally allowed to move. Completely kills any tension. The story is painfully boring. Some woman keeps talking nonstop through the radio, trolling you, while your character acts unbelievably dumb. Honestly, even a random edgy teenager could’ve written something more coherent and engaging. The time loop concept itself is great — the execution is terrible. The gameplay brings absolutely nothing new. It’s so dull I don’t even see the point in going into detail about it. And this is after just 30 minutes. I seriously don’t understand where all these positive reviews are coming from. And this thing dares to call itself a AAA game? Nice graphics btw: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3670712782
I was reminded of this game recently discussing with friends how foolish it is to buy games at full price. This was one of the few games where I have felt actively scammed having bought it at full price and pre-ordering the game. The premise is simple, you are stuck in a time loop to kill 8 Elusive Targets, however the promise was that you could do it in any order, however you could with your super powers whilst being perused by Julianna. The reality is that there is one solution, only one way to beat the game and that fundamentally breaks the promise of what Arkane Studios usually provides through their catalogue. A friend of mine wondered having bought this game, why not just play Dishonoured instead? And I had to agree.
